The Floral Experience in Costa Rica This majestic tropical country with its bright green rainforests and sandy coastlines provided all the inspiration Karen needed to create a paradise-esque masterclass. Hosted at the luxe Andaz Peninsula Papagayo Resort in Guanacaste, Costa Rica with its pristine sandy beaches, clear blue waters, and beautiful mountain views, luxury was infused in every detail of the experience.

Using the local tropical elements available in Costa Rica, Karen used bright and colorful foliage to create a vibrant floral backdrop.

Floral and fauna adorned the tabletop and leave textured linens added a natural yet elegant touch. Brightly printed menus enhanced the tropical, playful aesthetic and an abundance of striking floral pieces towered over the tables, making it as if guests were in their own regal rainforest. An abundance of tropical foliages and colorful blooms set a beautiful Flower wall backdrop for the guests to post for photos while they celebrated on the lawn overlooking the sea.

Imported roses from Ecuador were delicately placed and stunning rose bushes and teepees greeted guests. Every colorful creation boasted glimpses of paradise and Karen’s signature feminine style that her clients adore and students identify with.

The Floral Experience in Italy Hosted at the Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria, a breath taking hotel in Sorrento, Italy, charm and romance flows from every room as the hotel embraces a dolce vita flair. Full of character and a historic richness, the venue itself provides remarkable inspiration that allows Karen to lead her students on the journey of creating a classical romantic affair.

In quintessential Italy, nestled near the Gulf of Naples, Karen created over-the-top romantic designs rich in whimsy, liveliness, and feminine appeal.

Breath taking frescos covered the entire ceiling to create a dramatically romantic ambiance. The shape of the rose tunnel accentuated and enhanced the natural curve and shape of the room, leaving nothing left to be desired.

Striking candelabras lined the entrance to a magnificent bed of roses one would expect to see in a fairy tale. Guests were whisked away into their own fairy tale of sorts as they were able to pose for pictures on the bed and imagine all things beautiful and lovely.

Beautiful soft colored roses, tulips, hydrangeas, calla lilies, & orchids created an extravagant statement centerpieces that towered above the gold edged table & miniature yet darling table pieces.

The Floral Experience Thailand Perched over the Bay of Phuket, The Floral Experience Thailand was hosted at the Anantara Layan Phuket Resort—a world of privilege. Tucked away in a tranquil cove that overlooks the Andaman Sea, students walked on powdery beaches and tucked into their luxury pool villas to recharge and re-inspire their design journey alongside Karen.

This masterclass, which was filled to the brim with every feature of a Karen Tran Masterclass, was all about creating an elegant and pure design aesthetic. Inspired by a vision of “East meets West,” Karen showed attendees how to take Western design and add a touch

of Thai to create subtly eclectic yet cohesive designs that still look and feel lush, flowy, and feminine.

The gorgeous tunnel of white flowers offered the most jawdropping, grand entrance. Guests walked in awe through the pristine white tunnel lined with white orchids from Thailand. Since the beginning of time, white has been known to invoke feelings of purity, love, goodness, and innocence. It’s a classic and timeless color that creates a positive and light ambiance that illuminates any space, and Karen used this color in abundance to create the vision she had in her mind and the look and feel she was going for.

Dubbed “an experience of a lifetime,” at each 3-day intensive

masterclass, attendees get significant hands-on experience and learn how to create a signature wedding style for today’s luxury market.
