HONORABLE ALUMNI

Tarik Karaly

I am proudly a graduate from Ajman University, Department of interior design in 2008, Studying at AU added to my career and education a special experience. I am currently running my personal office in interior design and involved in teaching in the interior design department Ajman University.

Graduation Year 2008 CEO & Operation Manager DRK Interior Decoration LLC

I started my interior design journey working as a junior designer in a fitout company, where I have learned the basics of the interior design process in the real world, then working with a close friend of mine on a bespoke furniture line, that helped shape my vision on how furniture is made, simultaneously I was working as a teaching assistant in this very university, which ended up teaching me about my passion for training, after that I got hired as a store interior design in IKEA which was a journey in retail, which was very interesting! Right now I am doing my own thing, I work on various projects and I have a YouTube channel talking about the experiences I go through! (aseelbysketchbook)

Aseel Ahmed Graduation Year 2014 Interior Designer

Since I graduated form Ajman University I have been climbing the ladder to success step by step to become the designer I am today . My first job was junior Interior Designer in a big company and that gave me the opportunity to learn and improve everyday and today within 12 years of experience I have become a senior designer that design designs and executes projects handling all the aspects from shell and core to turn key in the country, making me an expert in retail and residential design.

Erna Vasilchenko Graduation Year 2016 Interior Designer

Ahmed Elfadl Graduation Year 2007 Senior Interior Designer Pure Decor Interprises

Being a mother of two beautiful kids, my journey was not very easy and I started in my late twenties. I completed my graduation in 2015 from Ajman University with Honor and Excellency and I started my career as an Interior Designer in one of the luxurious Furniture brands of UAE. At this moment I’m working in Ithara group as Project Manager and executing Kindergarten projects. Ithara group is specialized in outdoor playgrounds for kids and indoor activity areas like gymnasiums and indoor play areas. We strongly believe that kids deserve to have quality and comfort to grow and develop good physical skills. My passion is always for arts & artistic works and I’m enjoying my profession as same as I have enjoyed my student life at Ajman University. Every single teacher I met and course I learned was great pleasure and meaningful. Every single course of study program was very important and it was just not about the marks we score but it was all about understanding how to use skills and knowledge in real life scenarios. 22

HONORABLE ALUMNI

Since I graduated from AU - interior design department, I managed to develop my profession by working hard (14 years up to date) to gain new knowledge and experience form the actual field and real market, which was definitely an addup to my academic knowledge. I started as a site engineer, where I gained the power of interior detailing and construction knowledge, then I was prompted to be a Project Engineer/Designer, where my responsibilities were growing with my progress of developing my skills. Later, I was able to handle senior positions. Finally, I started my own establishment where I am still focusing to get my own branding using the past experience to the community, where I have to give my own touch, believes and all gained experiance to be applied to my own projects. Knowing that I am still in contact with AU. And I always feel happy giving my support to the students in the department of interior design though sharing my skills to them by working as a teaching assistant. Proudly saying: I was a student at AU, now I am independently strong to continue as a professional interior architect. Thanks for all those who believed in me and gave me all I need to be who am I now.
