This summer, the world-renownedfirm announced that it has developed a digital architectural platform with AKT II and Hilson MoranPartnership to create homes for Roatán Próspera. The residential designs are a specific ecologicaland social response to the climate, terrain, and culture of Roatán, the largest of the Honduras BayIslands in the Caribbean Sea. Learning from the wisdom of the past, these designs integrate the localvernacular tradition of timber construction, climatic appropriateness, and spatial experience withnew digital design, engineering, and construction techniques.
