Creative Constellations

is an exciting and effective new approach to supporting the creative process. It aims to support writers and others involved in a creative project, whether it be a script, a book or any such work. For many years the Constellation process has been used as a powerful and far-reaching tool for exploring issues and entrenched patterns in families, organisations and communities. It is a unique lens through which hidden dynamics and insights can be revealed. Creative Constellations applies this approach to the creative process and the development of particular creative projects. There are endless difficulties facing writers and producers in trying to bring a story to life. Many of us experience writer’s block, or are unsure about plot development, timings, endings or character motivations. Our method assumes that every story has a life of its own, which can be revealed to us through a Constellation process. Through this group process, many of these questions are easily aired and solutions revealed. In Germany, Constellation work is widely used in script development. Well-known films that have used this approach include “The Lives of Others” and “The Stranger In Me”. Doris Doerrie, the most established female cinema director in Germany, frequently uses this approach in her films. We hope to make this technique accessible in the UK for people involved in all areas of creative work. We offer group workshops as well as being available to meet production teams at their location.
