HEALTH : You’re Worth It
Our third issue of the year puts health and its importance front-and-center. After all, without our health, where would we be? From self-care to essential screenings and so much more, our well-being is something to take seriously, for ourselves and for those who love us.
In need of some inspiration? You’ll surely find it by flipping to page 22 and meeting three local health heroes: an organ donor, a ballet dancer and the founder of an important nonprofit organization. And on page 32 we invite you to learn more about the need for gut health, essential to our overall health.
Looking to kick your workout program in to high gear? It may be as simple as investing in a new active outfit or two. We have ideas from local retailers in The Look starting on page 18.
Perhaps you’re aiming to eat with fresher, whole-food ingredients. On page 38, glean some inspiration as writer Marian Frances Wolbers describes just a sampling of the many dine-in and to-go options at Wyomissing’s Russo’s Gourmet Foods & Market.
Starting with one small step, we can all work to make a positive change in a healthy direction. We hope this month’s issue strikes a chord with you.
Sincerely,
Staff Speaks
What room of your home would you renovate if you could only do one and why?

Robyn L. Jones, publisher
“My living room...it's so sterile and it needs some personality!”

“I’d renovate our attic to make it a functional space for my son to have as a bedroom, then take his existing room and expand our bedroom and increase our closet space. That counts as one, right?”
Nikki M. Murry, editor
“I’d update my kitchen! We spend most of our time in this area as my kitchen is pretty big. It would be nice to give it a makeover!”
