MIA & MADDIE’S BAKERY

In April, Mia & Maddie’s Bakery celebrated its grand opening in Easton. “Baking has been a life-long passion of mine,” says Eileen Newman, owner and primary baker, who began baking full-time in 2021. Inspired by her husband and three daughters, Newman hopes the bakery brings happiness to customers. “We really are trying to create an environment where everyone is welcome,” she shares. Newman says some of their most popular items include the pineapple coconut banana bread and strawberry rhubarb pie. In March 2023, The Lafayette (the oldest college newspaper in Pennsylvania) named them the best chocolate chip cookie in all of Easton. But Newman says she’s not in competition with anyone: “There’s plenty of business to go around.”
