& Support

New Bethany offers hope and support to people who experience poverty, food insecurity and homelessness in the Lehigh Valley. Assistance is offered with dignity and without judgment, regardless of circumstances. No one who seeks help is turned away.

“It starts with a meal” has been the tenet of New Bethany since its inception in 1985. J.T. is just one example. When he lost his job, he came to

Choice Food Pantry to access nutritious groceries. Learning more about his situation, staff in the pantry gave him a warm hand-off to New Bethany’s Housing Advocates, who coordinated rental assistance that kept J.T. from losing his home. Thankful for the support he received, J.T. now volunteers in the food pantry each week, even sharing recipes he’s created with fellow neighbors who are receiving food.

New Bethany meets people where they are with wraparound services designed to remove barriers and assist individuals and families in reaching security and self-sufficiency. Programming focuses around access to nutritious food, safe and stable housing, and case management. Once neighbors are in the door, staff are ready to listen to their unique situations and provide broader support—whether that means supplying a new sleeping bag, providing financial guidance or securing rental assistance—that builds a pathway to stability and the opportunity to thrive.

All are invited to take a tour of their facilities and see the pathway in action. To learn more, visit newbethanyministries.org
