BOROUGH OF BATH YEAR 2023 SCHEDULE OF MEETINGS

Notice is hereby given by the Borough of Bath, Northampton County, Pennsylvania pursuant to the Pennsylvania Sunshine Act of the following scheduled meetings for the Year 2023.

The Regular Monthly Meeting of Council of the Borough of Bath is scheduled for the first Monday of each month commencing at 6:00 PM, with the exception of: Monday, January 2nd which will be held on Monday, January 9th (due to New Year’s Day); Monday, July 3rd which will be held Monday, July 10th (due to the Federal Holiday of the 4th of July) and Monday, September 4th which will be held Tuesday, September 5th.

Nazareth Borough Municipal Authority is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:

Ultraviolet Light Disinfection System

Bids for the construction of the Project will be received, online, until Thursday, May 11, 2023, at 2:00 PM local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.

The Project includes the following Work: Project generally includes, but is not limited to:

1. Excavation for, and construction of, below grade castin-place concrete walls and tanks

2. Construction of yard piping and manholes

3. Construction of a pre-engineered metal building

4. Construction of building lighting, heating, and ventilation

5. Installation of Control panels and SCADA system

6. Installation of owner procured Trojan UV 3000 Plus System

Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the designated website. Prospective Bidders are urged to register with the designated website as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website.

Pre-bid Conference

A pre-bid conference for the Project will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 10:00 am at the NBMA WWTP (872 Tatamy Road Nazareth, PA 18064). Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required.

Instructions to Bidders.

Bid security in the form a Certified Check or Bid Bond shall be furnished with the bid in an amount not less than 10%.

All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted via PennBID in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Telephone inquiries are unacceptable.

For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents.

Statutory Requirements

Bidders must comply with all State antibid-rigging regulations pertaining to work associated with this project and will be required to submit an executed non-collusion affidavit with the bid.

Bidders should refer to provisions of federal and state statutes, rules and regulations dealing with the prevention of environmental pollution and preservation of public natural resources that affect the project, pursuant to Act No. 247 of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, approved October 26, 1972.

This Project falls under The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania enacted Act 127 of 2012, known as the Public Works Employment Verification Act (‘the Act’) which requires all public work contractors and subcontractors to utilize the Federal Government’s E-Verify system to ensure that all employees performing work on public work projects are authorized to work in the United States. All Bidders are required to submit a Public Works Employment Verification Form as a precondition for the Contract Award.

The estimated cost for each Contract is greater than Twentyfive Thousand Dollars ($25,000) and the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act shall apply.

All bids shall be irrevocable for 60 days after the bid opening date unless award is delayed by a required approval of another government agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants, in which case this Bid shall remain subject to acceptance for 120 days after the bid opening date as provided by the Act of November 26, 1978 (P.L. 1309, No. 317), as amended by the Act of December 12, 1994 (P.L. 1042, No. 142).
