District 14-K Lions are looking to sponsor any 10th or 11th grade student who would like to attend a Leadership Weekend. This is held on the weekend of May 13, 14 and 15, 2022 at Camp Victory in Millville, PA (North of Bloomsburg). The seminar begins Friday evening and ends at noon on Sunday. Students will participate in a variety of sports, including a zip line and fishing, team building and team projects. They will have the opportunity to hear professionals who relate to them the decision making processes needed to lead them through adulthood and help mold their future. This is open to students from Pike, Carbon, Lycoming, Monroe, Lehigh, Northampton, Northumberland, Potter, Schuylkill, Snyder, Sullivan, Tioga and Union Counties. Students do not have to be affiliated with a Leo Club. Lion Club members are the chaperone and counselors. This is a drug, alcohol and tobacco free weekend. Registration cost, transportation, meals, snacks and lodging (in cabins) will be provided. The only thing the student needs is bedding/sleeping bag, towels, outdoor clothes and a great attitude. Prepare to have a fun week-end. Lehigh Furnace Sunday School has their annual "Country Sunday with the Haas Family" event on Sunday April 24. It will be during the normal 9:30 am service. Location is 4476 Main St. Slatington which is 1 mile west of Slatedale. Everyone is welcome.
