The PRO1 spray gun guarantees: - the physical health of the car wash operator - the “health” of the h.p. washer
The spray gun, along with the lance nozzle and the pump’s seal packing, is the most important component of the h.p. pressure washer.
The spray gun is responsible for:
- The physical health of the car wash operator
- The “health” of the h.p. washer
The force required to keep the gun trigger pressed throughout the washing duration is directly proportional to the onset of tennis elbow syndrome.
Tennis elbow, also known as lateral epicondylitis, is a painful condition affecting the elbow and arm, caused by inflammation of the tendons that connect the forearm muscles to the lateral epicondyle of the elbow. Excessive strain on the forearm muscles causes stress, creating small tears in the tendons, which can lead to inflammation and pain in the surrounding area.
This condition affects not only tennis players but also those who perform activities requiring repetitive wrist and forearm movements, such as painters, bricklayers, gardeners and car wash operators.
Regarding car wash operators, the more the physical effort needed to keep the spray gun trigger pressed is reduced, the more the risk of developing tennis elbow syndrome is reduced, potentially eliminating it altogether.
The solution is to prevent this condition by using a low-effort spray gun.
The PRO1 spray gun by Idrobase reduces by -60% the force required to hold down the trigger (0,80Kg) compared to the average of the 4 best-selling spray guns in the world (2,08Kg).
The health of the h.p. washer predominantly depends on the hermetic closure of the internal components, specifically the ball and plate of the spray gun.
In fact, when the spray gun trigger is released, the internal pressure in the pump increases, activating the pressure switches. In the by-pass version, the water is bypassed from the outlet to the inlet of the pump, while in the total stop version, the machine stops, keeping the pipes under pressure, ready to restart as soon as the spray gun trigger is pressed again. In both cases, the pressure washer remains at rest thanks to the perfect closure of the ball on the seat.
The closure of the PRO1 spray gun is guaranteed by two essential components: a spring that pushes a AISI 304 SS ball to perfectly match with a AISI 304 SS plate, which is perforated in the center, thereby providing a hermetic closure of the hole
If the closure is not hermetic, water leakage occurs, causing a gradual decrease in the water pressure inside the machine.
When the pressure reaches a minimum threshold, the h.p. washer restarts to restore the pressure to the original values, in a continuous cycle of turning on and off, wearing out the internal components of the h.p. washer, particularly:
- By-pass valve
- Pump sealing rings
- Pump valves
If the h.p. washer is hot water, the problems also extend to the boiler, with the flame turning on and off.
The perfect closure of the ball/ plate duo increases the life of the pressure washer by +25% to +50%.
