The Story So Far... In 1873, a young gypsy girl called Tara became an orphan when her family was murdered by a vampire (known only as the White Man) and his gang. She was found and taken in by Marcus Cornelius, a former slave who had been transformed into a “half-dead” man—a Zuvembie—by a Haitian witch. There was a spark of long lost humanity that Marcus felt from the girl and he realized that—somehow—she could help him regain his soul.
Marcus trained the girl to fight like the gladiator he had once been and she proved to be extraordinarily adept at knife throwing.
After 6 years, they finally uncovered a clue that could lead them to the whereabouts of the White Man and rode north to exact her long-postponed vengeance. But... they left several dead townsfolk in the wake of their departure and the sheriff hired a bounty hunter—with his own particular axe to grind—to hunt the pair down and bring them back—“dead or alive”… but leaning toward “dead.” For international rights, contact licensing@idwpublishing.com
