She was to collect lots of coins which had been touched by very rich men; melt them in the fires of Mount Vesuvius... and make an amulet that turned all things to gold! The sorceress got every coin but one: Scrooge McDuck’s Number One Dime... the coin touched most by the world’s richest man! She tried shape-shifts, foof-bombs and every trick in the book to nab that dime... she tried, and she failed! And is that the end of the story? No way! For I am that sorceress—Magica De Spell! I’m still fighting the good fight for evil—I mean, the evil fight for... well, you get the idea. It’s what I do! And with Halloween here, it’s time to celebrate my witching wisdom with this creepy comic annual. Even if I make stingy Scrooge chew nails, you readers seem horribly happy to have me!
