I admit it… When I was first asked to ‘guest-edit’ an issue of Haunted Horror, I was intimidated. The bangup job done by Karswell, Forelock, and Madame Clizia issue after issue has set the bar very high. But I thought about it and decided that this would be a good chance to get out from under the shadow of Eerie Publications, to prove that I’m not just a one-trick pony.

That said, the stories I present to you here are all Pre-Code terror tales that were filched by the Eerie Pubs and redrawn for their horror rags two decades later. Furthermore, those very redraws were collected for my IDW/Yoe Books collection The Worst of Eerie Publications. Now is your chance to compare the original 1950s artwork to the redraws! Which version do you like better? I might be a onetrick pony, but I know a good horror story when I see it!
