Mary Specter is a teenage girl trained to be a lucid dreamer. Her father runs a sleep disorder clinic where Mary enters the ghastly dreams of disturbed people in an attempt to help them. When a patient is revealed to be a serial killer, the nightmare world and the waking one become intertwined, putting Mary in jeopardy. Set in a world where the boundaries between dreams and reality are tenuous, Night Mary, by Rick Remender and Kieron Dwyer, is a very dark and terrifying trip into psychological horror.

Ric k Remender Rick has removed all silliness from this bio to impress upon you the reader that he is to be taken quite seriously. Rick’s accomplishments include producing numerous creator-owned comics including, Strange Girl, Captain Dingleberry, Black Heart Billy, Fear Agent, Sea of Red, Night Mary and Doll and Creature. Rick does his comic bookery for companies such as Marvel, Image, IDW, Dark Horse and DC, not that you’d be impressed by that. During his years in animation he worked on films such as The Iron Giant, Anastasia, Titan A.E., Rocky and Bullwinkle and most recently storyboarded on the new Sean Connery 007 game at Electronic Arts. In order to impress upon you further the range of his talents he’d like you to know he’s also done album covers for punk bands such as NOFX, No Use for a Name and Lagwagon. Rick and his beautiful wife Danni live in the Bay Area of Northern California. The fact that she allowed him to write Night Mary while on their honeymoon showed her enthusiasm for the project and earned her mention in his bio. So there.
Kieron Dwyer Kieron Dwyer has been in the comics game since 1987, drawing, writing, painting, and even lettering comics for many of the industry’s best known publishers. In addition to his mainstream work on Batman, Captain America, The Avengers, and many more, Dwyer has created or co-created such cult classics as LCD and Black Heart Billy, the latter with longtime friend, collaborator and Night Mary scribe, Rick Remender. In many ways, Night Mary is the culmination and distillation of all his previous work, given his penchant for switching his art style with every new project he takes on. When he co-created Night Mary with Remender, it was their specific intention to craft a story that would allow him to employ a multitude of art styles all within the context of one continuous story. Of all his comics work, Dwyer considers Night Mary to be one of his very best, and as a complete project, certainly one of the most fulfilling. Dwyer lives in Northern California with his wife Birch, their son Liam, and their dog Max.
