Rogue is caught up in the desperate defense of Strongpoint Charlie against an unexpected Nort assault. His mysterious ally Angel has warned him that Souther military police are closing in, but Rogue chooses to stay and fight rather than abandon the strongpoint’s garrison to defeat and death. Meanwhile, on a Souther command station in orbit, Colonel Cheng is seeking her own answers to the slaughter of the G.I.s. To get those answers, she wants Rogue brought in alive.
