Under the agreement, the two organizations will share technical articles on computing, cooperate on conferences held in India, and leverage associations between the organizations' elected officers. CSI members who join IEEE Computer Society's Sister Society Associate program will receive digital issues of three IEEE Computer Society magazines, as well as discounts on certification exams, training courses, and subscriptions to other magazines. "This gives IEEE Computer Society members an opportunity to explore with our colleagues in India more unique, extensive, and exciting professional opportunities than ever before," said IEEE Computer Society Past-President Sorel Reisman, who negotiated the terms of the agreement. "For the CSI, the MOU with IEEE Computer Society comes at a time when we are seeking better global integration for our members," said CSI President Satish Babu. "We see this agreement as a way to elevate the competencies of our members to global standards and thereby make them truly international professionals."
