IEEE Computer Society Introduces iPad Application for Computer Magazine New multimedia-rich digital format lets you stay up to date with developments in the ever-changing field of computing LOS ALAMITOS, Calif., 6 April, 2012 – It’s now easier than ever to keep up to date on new developments in computing. The IEEE Computer Society has introduced a free iPad application for Computer, its flagship magazine.

“This app permits us to provide the magazine to mobile users and enhance the reading experience in many ways, including interviews with thought leaders, videos, slideshows, podcasts, and extra written content,” said Computer Editor in Chief Ron Vetter, a computer science professor at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

Each issue provides easy navigation through a clickable table of contents and links to its peer-reviewed articles. In addition, readers can easily search and share, and a library puts past issues at readers’ fingertips.

To begin reading Computer magazine on your iPad immediately if you are already a subscriber, go to the Apple Apps Store and search for “IEEE Computer.” Install the free app and register as prompted. If you are not a subscriber, the app will indicate how to subscribe.

Use your Apple store ID to download the app, and once in there, use the email account associated with your membership and follow the prompts to download and access the issues of Computer.
