SC14 Workshop Proposals Due on 7 February LOS ALAMITOS, Calif., 10 January 2014 -- If you're interested in hosting a workshop at SC14, submit your proposal by 7 February. Proposals are being accepted for independently planned full-, half-, or multi-day workshops. Workshops complement the overall SC technical program. The goal is to expand the knowledge base of practitioners and researchers in a particular subject area providing a focused, in-depth venue for presentations, discussion, and interaction. Workshop proposals will be peer-reviewed academically with a focus on submissions that will inspire deep and interactive dialogue in topics of interest to the HPC community. For more information, visit http://sc14.supercomputing.org/program/workshops or emailworkshops@info.supercomputing.org. Proposals can be submitted at https://submissions.supercomputing.org/. SC14 will be held in New Orleans from 16-21 November 2014. Spotlighting the most original and fascinating scientific and technical applications from around the world, SC14 will once again bring together the HPC community – an unprecedented array of scientists, engineers, researchers, educators, students, programmers, system administrators, and developers – for an exceptional program of technical papers, tutorials, timely research posters, and Birds-of-a-Feather (BOF) sessions. The SC14 Exhibition Hall will feature exhibits of the latest and greatest technologies from industry, academia and government research organizations. Many of these technologies will be seen for the first time in New Orleans, and no conference offers a better opportunity to view the why HPC matters.
