Dear IFMSA-Egypt Incoming, The national weekend is the biggest exchange event for IFMSAEgypt. Since it started back in 2009, the NWE has been greatly anticipated every year. Currently we are going through critical times in the history of our country, that echoes on Egypt’s world wide image. A lot of concerns have been raised regarding Egypt’s security status, that’s why organizing such a big social event – gathering more than 100 medical students from all over Egypt in one place – is a big challenge, which we believe IFMSA – Egypt’s Exchange Team is capable of handling.

Hurghada
It is the 1st time to host IFMSA – Egypt National Weekend in Hurghada. Stunning coral reefs and the turquoise waters that are perfect for windsurfing have made Hurghada – on Egypt’s Red Sea Coast – a busy resort town. Within easy reach of the marvelous islands and the Eastern Arabian Desert, Hurghada has seen enormous amounts of development in the past decade and now stretches 25 miles along the Red Sea. Some of the World’s best diving and snorkeling sites are just offshore. Walk or get a cab to explore old quarter El Dahar.
