It always has been a dream of mine to cross the globe as I thought it would be very useful and fun for me but when I first tried in my exchange program in Romania I realized that it’s more than this. Actually it was a life changing experience. I’m now pretty admitant about the fact that most of what you take away from studying abroad isn’t learned in the classrooms only. As I have learned many life lessons like new self confidence, personal realizations and also general observations and opinions about the world. I could discover myself and the world in new ways and it was just the beginning.

What’s up everybody, My name is Ahmed Gamal, I went to Germany as an exchange student, actually it was a great experience from all aspects. There, I trained in the surgery department, I learned a lot of great skills and information from great and well educated Doctors, after finishing my day in the hospital, I went with my exchange person to tour the city… I visited a lot of monuments and learned a good deal of German too .. after finishing my training, I went in a tour all across Germany and visited Frankfurt & Munich.. In Germany I gained a profound amount of information about the German history and culture, and had an awesome time too ;)… I believe that every medical student should go for exchange if given the opportunity because this is a life changing experience that you will never ever forget...
When I have been selected in the IFMSA exchange program to travel to Austria, I was afraid a little bit of traveling to foreign country with a different language rather than English too. But I was surprised then when they communicated with me from Graz, telling me all the program (medical &social), where I would live, how to reach, who I could communicate with them and the system of transportation there also!! When I reached the hostel, they welcomed me and introduced me to other exchange students from different countries, showed me the way to the hospital. I was very interested in the hospital training, the doctors were very helpful and tried to teach me in spite of different languages. Also I enjoyed my time a lot with my colleagues in the exchange program exploring the city, traveling, cooking together and making parties. It was a brilliant experience that I won’t forget and I will try to repeat it!

Oi ! My name is Omar. I’d like to share with you my experience last summer. It simply was: “SENSACIONAL”! . The hilarious new experiences, the crazy adventures and the great people I met have definitely taken me a prisoner of theirs. People’s hospitality and their kindness is what I miss the most. I made, literally, dozens of new friends in the cities that I’ve visited with whom I had a great time. My passion for “new” and “adventure” was well satisfied as I visited different cities with amazing landscapes, learned about their cultures and habits, tasted their food and explored their secrets. for the scientific aspect, I learned a lot through observing surgeries with great doctors, A cardio-surgeon gave me honor of assisting him in an open-heart surgery. That was one of the moments I’ll never forget, Ever

You’ll never know anything about what happened in the Balkans until you go there. A famous sentence there but believe me it’s true .I’ve read a lot about this part of the world but what I’ve seen , known and felt there is unimaginable . It’s something that can’t be written or described. Every day during my trip in Serbia , Bosnia and Croatia I was dropping my Jaw from what I see and hear while visiting the amazing Dubrovnik with its walls or Hanging out with Serbs in a Serbian Caffana in Belgrade , or Sitting with old Bosniaks in Sarajevo telling you about the war.Really I’ll never forget those amazing places , that amazing Balkan atmosphere , those stories about the war , about Yugoslavia and Tito , those really warm people and my two Serb and Croat friends who were treating me like a brother from their own blood and flesh .
