I ntro d u ction ďżź First of all, congratulations for YOU ALREADY ARE A WINNER. Deciding to train and log miles for the race while facing adversity, frustrations, injuries and other challenges, and then deciding to stand on the starting line is no easy pill to take. For us, those are what winners are made of. Welcome to IGACOS50! A race that will take you to various barangays, towns, sceneries and lush beaches around the beautiful Island Garden City of Samal. The competitors will begin from Casa Estrella - Beach Camp, the official race venue, and end there as well. This is organized and presented by Base Camp Davao and Bagani Active Gear.

T he Co u rse The race course is a mix of pavement, open-dirt roads and single-track trails. There are steep sections to ascend and don’t worry because you’ll descend from those sections eventually. Weather conditions before or on the day of the raced may affect the terrain and environment. Take note that the date still falls within the “monsoon” season of the year. Thus, the level of difficulty of the course will vary. We suggest including this on your preparation as well. Kindly refer to the course description for the placement of the aid stations and elevation profile.

R o u te F in d ing ￟ The course will be properly marked using trail signs, tarpaulins and police tapes. The earlier sections of the race which will be passed at early morning will be marked with reflectorized tapes. However it is unavoidable the factors might disrupt the trail markings. Factors such as people, animals and weather. Rest assured that the placement of the markings will be visible. Runners caught sabotaging the markers will be disqualified. If you on other hand think that you’re lost and are unable to locate trail signs, it is better to go back and review your position.
