Dall’Italia alla Cina. E viceversa. Un percorso che l’IGAV ha compiuto più volte negli ultimi dieci anni. Gran finale per Visioni contemporanee, l’ultima mostra in ordine di tempo ideata e realizzata dall’IGAV. Prima, due tappe di impatto in Italia: al sud Capri (Certosa di San Giacomo, settembre ottobre 2014) e al nord Milano (Spazioborgogno, gennaio – febbraio 2015). Ora l’approdo a Shanghai, città con la quale abbiamo costruito stretti rapporti di collaborazione e amicizia e che proprio per questo amiamo molto. La sede è molto prestigiosa. Per la prima volta lo SPSI – Shanghai Oil Painting & Sculpture Institut Art Museum accoglie l’IGAV e i suoi artisti. Davvero un grande onore. Siamo riconoscenti al SICA – Shanghai International Artist Association che ci oﬀre la possibilità di presentare in Cina una selezione di opere che rispecchiano i più recenti traguardi dell’arte contemporanea italiana. Nel nostro Paese la mostra ha riscosso un notevole successo sia per l’interesse suscitato nei visitatori sia per l’apprezzamento della stampa e della critica. 从意大利到中国——IGAV在过去十年间曾多次走过的一条路。由IGAV筹划构思并主办的最新展览“当代视野”已经进入了华丽的尾声。展览首先在意大利的两大著名城市举办：卡普里（2014年9月到10月在Certosa di San Giacomo）以及北部地区的米兰（2015年1月到2月在 Spazioborgogno）。现在轮到了上海，我们同这座城市建立了密切的合作关系和良好的友谊，同时也深爱着它。此次的展览场地亦卓尔不群：有史以来第一次，上海油雕院美术馆成为了IGAV及其艺术家的舞台。这真是一个极大的荣耀。我们感谢上海市对外文化交流协会（SICA）给予的这次机会，令我们得以展示一系列囊括了意大利当代艺术最新里程碑的作品。无论是从所激发的观众兴趣，还是从媒体和评论界给出的反馈，这个展览在意大利都取得了巨大成功，我们希望在中国复制这个成功。除此之外，我们还希望通过更多的活动和交流，加强与上海市对外文化交流协会的合作关系。我们诚挚感谢意大利驻上海领事馆及使馆文化处的宝贵支持与帮助。乔吉奥和罗萨尔巴•加鲁佐

From Italy to China. And vice versa. A route that IGAV has travelled many times over the past decade. And so we have reached the Grand Finale of Contemporary Visions, the most recent exhibition conceived and staged by IGAV. First came two high-profile Italian cities: in the south, Capri (at the Certosa di San Giacomo, September-October 2014) and in the north, Milan (at the Spazioborgogno, January-February 2015). Now it’s the turn of Shanghai, a city with which we have established a close partnership and friendship, and which we love very much indeed. The venue is extremely prestigious: for the first time, the Shanghai Oil Painting & Sculpture Institute (SPSI) Art Museum is playing host to IGAV and its artists. It truly is a great honour. We would like to thank the Shanghai International Culture Association (SICA) for oﬀering us the opportunity to showcase in China a selection of works that encapsulate the latest milestones reached by Italian contemporary art. In Italy, the exhibition was a remarkable success, both in terms of the level of interest it generated amongst the visitors and in terms of the response given to it by the press and the critics; a success we hope to replicate now. We would hope to consolidate our partnership through further engagements and exchanges. Sono lieto di introdurre la mostra “Visioni contemporanee: Artisti italiani in Cina” organizzata dall’Istituto Garuzzo per le Arti Visive (IGAV), in collaborazione con Shanghai International Culture Association e SPSI Art Museum. Il Consolato Generale d’Italia a Shanghai sostiene con convinzione questa iniziativa culturale che presenta l’arte contemporanea italiana tramite vari linguaggi e tecniche di diverse generazioni di artisti. La Mostra ha luogo nel 2015, anno in cui si celebra il 45° anniversario delle relazioni diplomatiche tra l’Italia e la Repubblica Popolare Cinese, momento significativo dei nostri rapporti storici, politici e culturali con la Cina e il suo popolo. Il 2015 è anche l’anno dell’Expo di Milano dove la Cina è presente con ben tre padiglioni. Essendo stata la città ospite dell’Expo nel 2010, la Municipalità di Shanghai presta particolare attenzione all’Expo di Milano. In questo contesto, il Consolato Generale d’Italia a Shanghai sta quindi lavorando molto per promuovere il nostro Paese e l’Expo Milano in questa parte della Cina e per sottolineare il forte legame tra l’Italia e Shanghai. Insieme con la mostra “Italiani a Shanghai – Dialogo di civiltà lungo la Via della Seta” (attualmente presso il China Corporate United Pavilion a Milano), la mostra “Visioni contemporanee: Artisti italiani in Cina” rappresenta un ulteriore strumento di dialogo tra l’Occidente e l’Oriente attraverso opere artistiche uniche di artisti contemporanei. I am pleased to introduce the exhibition “Contemporary visions. Italian Artist in China” organized by Istituto Garuzzo per le Arti Visive (Garuzzo Institute for Visual Arts - IGAV) together with Shanghai International Culture Association and SPSI Art Museum. The Italian Consulate General in Shanghai strongly supports this cultural initiative that shows the Italian contemporary art through diﬀerent languages and techniques by diﬀerent generations of artists. This art exhibition takes place in 2015, the 45th year of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Italy and People’s Republic of China, an important anniversary of our historical, political and cultural ties with China and its people. Furthermore, 2015 is also the year of Milan Expo, the Universal Exposition in our Country where China is presented with three Pavilions. The City of Shanghai pays particular attention to the Expo since it was the host city in the 2010 edition. In this framework, the Italian Consulate General is therefore working for promoting our Country and Milan Expo in this part of China and highlighting the strong connections between Italy and Shanghai. Together with the exhibition “Italians in Shanghai – Dialogue of civilization along the Silk Road” (currently at the China Corporate United Pavilion in Milan), this “Contemporary visions——Contemporary art exhibition of Italy” represents a further dialogue between the West and the East through unique pieces of art by contemporary artists. In occasione dell’Expo Milano 2015 tenuta in Italia quest’anno, la nostra Associazione, perseguendo l’obiettivo di promuovere gli scambi culturali tra la Cina e l’Italia, in collaborazione con l’Istituto Garuzzo per le Arti Visive (IGAV), organizzerà la mostra Visioni contemporanee. Esperienze di confine tra realtà e immaginazione, un’esposizione di opere artistiche contemporanee italiane che ospiterà il Museo d’Arte dell’Istituto di Scultura e Pittura a olio di Shanghai (SPSI Art Museum). L’arte italiana occupa un posto preminente nell’arte dell’Occidente. Nata dal fertile humus di una antica civiltà, si sviluppa in modo continuo negli anni passati e prosegue alla nostra epoca dei grandi cambiamenti dando alla luce l’arte contemporanea dai caratteri ben distintivi. Gli artisti italiani che prendono parte a questa mostra hanno esplorato attivamente molteplici nuovi linguaggi artistici e li hanno usati per esprimere in profondità e ampiezza le loro conoscenze sul mondo spirituale dell’umanità nell’epoca contemporanea, le condizioni reali della vita sociale e vari altri temi. La mostra sarà formata da numerose espressioni artistiche, quali il disegno, la pittura, la fotografia, l’installazione, il video, la scultura, ecc., esibendo le esperienze vissute dagli artisti contemporanei italiani nella realtà sociale e culturale nel presente. La Cina e l’Italia sono due paesi che vantano rispettivamente una storia lunga e una civiltà splendida, e gli scambi culturali tra i due Popoli risalgono ai tempi remoti. Entrambi i Paesi non solo hanno arricchito notevolmente il patrimonio culturale dell’umanità con la propria cultura meravigliosa, ma anche si alimentano costantemente della cultura reciproca per nutrire e rinnovare la propria tradizione facendola svilupparsi in modo prospero e ininterrotto. L’arte non ha frontiere. Speriamo che la nostra mostra possa contribuire allo sviluppo degli scambi culturali fra la Cina e l’Italia, e ci auguriamo che l’amicizia tra i due Paesi sia profonda e duratura.

今年恰逢2015年意大利米兰世博会，为加强中意文化交流，我会与意大利加鲁佐视觉艺术中心共同主办 “当代视野—意大利当代艺术作品展”，此次展览将在上海油画雕塑院美术馆举办。意大利艺术在西方艺术中具有举足轻重的地位，它具备古老的文化背景，延续到今天巨变的时代，又形成了特色鲜明的当代艺术。此次参展的意大利艺术家积极探索并运用各种新的艺术语言，对当代人类的精神世界、社会生活的现实境遇等各种主题进行了深入而又广泛的表达。展览涵盖多种艺术表达形式，如素描、绘画、摄影、装置、影像、雕塑等，展示当代意大利艺术家们对当下社会现实和文化现实的经历和体验。中意两国都具有悠久的历史和灿烂的文化，文化交流源远流长。不仅各以其璀璨文化极大地丰富了人类文化宝库，而且不断从彼此文化中汲取养料滋养和更新自身传统，使其生生不息向前发展。艺术无国界，我们期待此次展览能够成为加强中国与意大利之间的文化交流锦上添花，并祝愿我们的友谊深远绵长。

As the 2015 World Expo is being held in Milan, Italy, Shanghai International Culture Association (SICA) cosponsors “Contemporary visions—Contemporary art exhibition of Italy” together with Istituto Garuzzo per le Arti Visive to encourage the cultural communication between China and Italy. Italian art holds a pivotal position in the western art. It has an ancient cultural background which extends to today’s fast-changing world, creating the contemporary art with distinctive characteristics. The Italian artists involved in the exhibition positively explore and use various new artistic languages, giving deep and broad presentations on diﬀerent themes such as the spiritual world of modern human being and the reality of social life. The exhibition involves multiple artistic expressions, such as drawing, painting, photography, installation, v i d e o , a n d s c u l p t u re , d e m o n s t r a t i n g t h e experiences and feelings of contemporary Italian artists toward the current social and cultural reality. Both China and Italy have long history and splendid cultures. The cultural communication between the two can be dated from very long ago. The two countries not only enriched the human treasury with their gorgeous cultures, but also kept drawing nourishment from each other’s culture and updating their own tradition, while developing from generation to generation. There is no national boundary to art. We expect that this exhibition will add brilliance to the present splendor of the cultural communication between China and Italy, and also wish a long lasting friendship.

Il progetto Visioni contemporanee. Artisti italiani in Cina nasce dall’esigenza di mostrare alcune delle sperimentazioni più significative del sistema dell’arte italiano delle generazioni più attuali; una esposizione collettiva che segna alcuni passaggi dell’arte del presente interpretata da artisti di diﬀerenti generazioni. Così, AfterAll, Maura Banfo, Matteo Basilè, Domenico Borrelli, Botto&Bruno, Stefano Cagol, Gianni Caravaggio, Filippo Centenari, Davide Coltro, Peter Demetz, Rocco Dubbini, Paolo Grassino, Francesco Jodice, Mariangela Levita, Nicus Lucà, Domenico Antonio Mancini, Masbedo, Marzia Migliora, Moio&Sivelli, Marina Paris, Perino&Vele, Giulia Piscitelli, Marco Nereo Rotelli, Rosy Rox, Francesco Sena, Diana Avgusta Stauer, Adrian Tranquilli, Fabio Viale, Ciro Vitale presentano un percorso critico e visuale, ricco e complesso. L’idea è quella di mettere in scena un “teatro dell’arte” in grado di presentare alcune espressioni, forme, e strutture dell’attuale scena artistica italiana, un piccolo universo labirintico fatto di idee, osservazioni, visioni. Il progetto rispetta la politica culturale dell’IGAV – Istituto Garuzzo per le Arti Visive di promuovere gli artisti italiani, dalle giovani generazioni a quelle già consolidate dal sistema dell’arte, e di presentare un profilo significativo di ciò che accade su tutto il territorio nazionale. I protagonisti della mostra, infatti, attraverso l’utilizzo di diﬀerenti linguaggi e tecniche – dal disegno, alla pittura, alla scultura, alla fotografia, al video, all’installazione – propongono il loro sguardo sul presente, riflettendo sul senso di fare arte oggi.

CONTEMPORARY VISIONS ITALIAN ARTISTS IN CHINA

The project entitled Contemporary visions. Italian artists in China arose out of the desire to highlight some of the most significant experiences of the current crop of Italian artists. It is a group show that underlines some of the main phases of the art of the present day, through the works of artists belonging to a number of diﬀerent generations. The artists involved – AfterAll, Maura Banfo, Matteo Basilè, Domenico Borrelli, Botto&Bruno, Stefano Cagol, Gianni Caravaggio, Filippo Centenari, Davide Coltro, Peter Demetz, Rocco Dubbini, Paolo Grassino, Francesco Jodice, Mariangela Levita, Nicus Lucà, Domenico Antonio Mancini, Masbedo, Marzia Migliora, Moio&Sivelli, Marina Paris, Perino&Vele, Giulia Piscitelli, Marco Nereo Rotelli, Rosy Rox, Francesco Sena, Diana Avgusta Stauer, Adrian Tranquilli, Fabio Viale and Ciro Vitale – present a critical and visual showcase that is both rich and complex. The idea is to stage an “art theatre” with the capacity to present a number of expressions, forms and structures that are typical of the current Italian art scene, which is its own little labyrinthine universe, overflowing with ideas, observations and visions. Indeed, the project is aligned with the policy of IGAV – Istituto Garuzzo per le Arti Visive to promote Italian artists, from emerging talents to those who already have a reputation within the art world, and to provide a significant overview of what is happening across the whole Italian art scene. The protagonists of the exhibition, through diﬀerent languages and techniques – from drawing to painting, sculpture, photography, video and installation – cast their eyes on the present, meditating on what it means to make art today.

La mostra si pone come riflessione sul presente dell’arte e che s’interroga su una questione fondamentale: quali strategie può attivare l’artista per segnalare la sua individualità, l’unicità del suo messaggio in un sistema che tutto fagocita e tutto restituisce in un movimento incessante? Visioni contemporanee vuole proprio riflettere su questi aspetti dell’arte e del “fare” arte oggi, ed in particolare vuole analizzare e evidenziare alcuni aspetti dell’arte italiana del presente, intesi come spazi di riflessione culturale e pluripercettivi del contemporaneo. Un dialogo tra generazioni, sperimentazioni, vicende, che presenta opere realizzate da chi riflette sul presente e le possibilità future dell’arte, che racchiude la storia e la critica della società odierna, i suoi principi e le sue derive, che attiva sguardi fenomenici intesi come “esperienze di confine” tra realtà e immaginazione. Visioni contemporanee è il logos fisico e concettuale dove si intrecciano diﬀerenti espressioni ed esperienze del sistema dell’arte italiana, la “cornice” ideale e reale dove poter “incontrare” uno spaccato significativo della cultura artistica del nostro Paese. 此次展览恰恰是对今⽇日今时艺术之反省，它提出了⼀一个根本性问题：在现今这样⼀一个吞噬⼀一切然后⼜又将其倾泻⽽而出的系统⾥里，艺术家应该采⽤用什么样的⽅方法来展现⾃自⼰己的个性和所传递信息之独特？“当代视野”展览正是尝试着去思索艺术及艺术创作的这些问题，尤其对那些为当代⽂文化反思构建多重感知空间的当代意⼤大利艺术领域进⾏行分析和突出强调。这⼀一切最终成为⼏几代⼈人之间、各类试验和事件之间的⼀一个对话，通过那些思索当代、思索未来艺术之可能性的艺术家作品⽽而不断衰竭，批判了当今社会的历史、法则和趋势，并展开包含现实和想象边界体验的现象学视⾓角。“当代视野”是⼀一种物质和概念性理法，意⼤大利艺术体系的不同表达和体验交织其中 —— ⼀一个即刻真实且完美的框架，我们在此与⼀一个内容丰富的、意⼤大利艺术⽂文化的横截⾯面得以⾯面对⾯面。 Alessandro Demma

The exhibition is very much a reflection on art in this day and age, and it poses a fundamental question: which strategies can artists implement to mark out their individuality, the uniqueness of their message, in a system that gobbles everything up and spits it back out in a never-ending stream? The Contemporary Visions project is an attempt to think through these facets of art and of “making art” today, and is geared specifically towards analysing and highlighting those aspects of present-day Italian art that constitute multiperceptive spaces for cultural reflection on the contemporary moment. It all adds up to a dialogue between generations, experiments and incidents, played out through works created by artists who are meditating on the present and on the possibilities aﬀorded by the future of art, capturing and critiquing the history of modern-day society, its principles and its trends, deploying phenomenological perspectives that encompass “experiences on the borderline” between reality and imagination. IGAV ISTITUTO GARUZZO PER LE ARTI VISIVE

IGAV – Istituto Garuzzo per le Arti Visive, associazione culturale senza fini di lucro con sede a Torino, nasce nel 2005 con l’impegno di contribuire alla conoscenza e alla valorizzazione dell’arte contemporanea italiana. L’Italia non può vivere soltanto nel ricordo della tradizione artistica del passato. Gli artisti delle nuove generazioni portano creatività e slanci culturali che non sono inferiori a quelli dei loro predecessori, e sono in grado di accettare la sfida del confronto internazionale. Con questo intento IGAV promuove mostre a carattere nazionale e internazionale, scambi tra Paesi diversi e progetti volti ad esaltare l’espressione delle arti visive di maestri, di artisti emergenti e giovani. IGAV - Istituto Garuzzo per le Arti Visive organizza mostre di grande respiro in Italia e all’estero. A quasi dieci anni dalla sua fondazione, dopo molto lavoro dedicato, molti eventi organizzati e molte risorse investite, il bilancio è positivo: 47 mostre in 38 diversi musei o location e in 12 nazioni (Argentina, Armenia, Cile, Cina, Corea, Croazia, Giordania, Inghilterra, Italia, Russia, Slovacchia e Uruguay); 848 opere esposte di 236 artisti di cui 169 italiani e 63 cinesi; 5 premi internazionali assegnati a 17 artisti. IGAV realizza le proprie iniziative con il contributo dei soci e grazie al sostegno di istituzioni, enti pubblici e partner privati.

IGAV 加鲁佐视觉艺术协会

创建于2005年的加鲁佐视觉艺术协会（IGAV），位于意大利都灵市，是一家非营利性文化机构，旨在推广意大利当代艺术、挖掘意大利当代艺术的价值。 IGAV认为，意大利不能躺在艺术传统的记忆里，因为现实中有很多年轻艺术家凭借着艺术上的创造力和文化上的冲击力，面对着国际竞争的挑战。从这个初衷出发，协会长期致力于国内外展览的举办、支持不同国家之间的文化交流、奖挹视觉艺术表达、所开展的项目既有知名艺术家、更有年轻和新兴艺术家的参与。基础几乎十年之后，在花费了大量时间精力、组织了无数展览和活动、投入了大量资源之后，平衡是积极的：47 次展览在38个不同美术馆和展览场地在 12个国家（阿根廷、亚美尼亚、智利、中国、克罗地亚、意大利、约旦、韩国、俄罗斯、斯洛伐克、英国和乌拉圭）；236位艺术家共计848次展出，其中169位是意大利人，63位是中国人；5项国际奖项颁发给了17位艺术家。 IGAV主要依靠协会的创始成员、政府有关部门和机构以及私人合作伙伴等的支持和赞助实现其目标。

ISTITUTO GARUZZO PER LE ARTI VISIVE IGAV – Istituto Garuzzo per le Arti Visive, a not-forprofit association based in Turin, Italy, was set up in 2005 with a view to raising awareness of Italian contemporary art. Italy can not live only in the memory of the artistic tradition of the past. The artists of the younger generation bring creativity and cultural impulses that are not lower than those of their predecessors, and are able to accept the challenge of international standard. With the intention of promoting national and international exhibitions, cultural exchanges and projects geared towards highlighting the visual art being produced by established masters and, above all, by up-and-coming young artists. IGAV organizes large-scale exhibitions in Italy and abroad. Almost ten years on, after a great deal of time and eﬀort invested, numerous events organised and many resources invested, the Institute has succeeded in achieving the following: 47 exhibitions staged at 38 diﬀerent Museums and venues, in 12 Countries (Argentina, Armenia, Chile, China, Croatia, Italy, Jordan, Korea, Russia, Slovakia, the UK and Uruguay); 848 exhibited works by 239 artists, of whom 169 are Italian and 63 are Chinese; 5 international prizes awarded to 17 artists and now. L’IGAV E LA CINA

La mission fondamentale dell’IGAV, sostenere e far conoscere i giovani artisti, non potrebbe dirsi completa senza l’interscambio con i paesi stranieri, non solo per presentare opere e mostre, ma ancor più per confrontare idee ed esperienze. Con la Cina c’è stato il primo scambio. E la Cina è stata il primo partner dell’IGAV. Un rapporto iniziato già nel 2006 e che ha portato a numerose iniziative congiunte a Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Milano e Torino. In dieci anni il rapporto si è sviluppato e consolidato fino a creare una solida rete di stima e di amicizia con le autorità, i musei, le università, le associazioni, i curatori e, soprattutto, con gli artisti. Visioni contemporanee. Artisti italiani in Cina è il tredicesimo evento che l’IGAV propone in Cina, e lo presenta quasi come un gemellaggio con l’isola di Capri che ha ospitato la mostra lo scorso autunno nel più incantevole panorama mediterraneo. SHANGHAI INTERNATIONAL CULTURE ASSOCIATION – SICA

La Shanghai International Culture Association (SICA) è stata fondata nel 1986 come organizzazione municipal che organizza scambi culturali internazionali non governativi. La sua funzione è quella di raﬀorzare la comprensione reciproca e la cooperazione amichevole tra Shanghai e il resto del mondo. Opera per favorire la crescita economica di Shanghai, il progresso scientifico e la produzione culturale attraverso l’impegno delle persone nel portare avanti scambi culturali internazionali. Il SICA ha un consiglio composto da quasi un centinaio di figure pubbliche nazionali e internazionali. Ha anche dipartimenti operativi responsabili degli scambi in vari campi e un'unità di gestione integrata. SICA oﬀre una vasta gamma di scambi culturali e di comunicazione in molteplici settori, tra cui cultura e arte, scienze umane, scienze sociali, economia, finanza e istruzione. Organizza eventi importanti come mostre d'arte, spettacoli culturali, convegni internazionali, seminari di studio e scambi culturali all'estero. Avendo istituito scambi e cooperazioni con varie organizzazioni in decine di paesi e regioni, tra cui Stati Uniti, Canada, Giappone, Australia, Francia, Germania, Spagna, Russia, Austria, e regioni amministrative speciali di Hong Kong e Macao, SICA è un’organismo influente a Shanghai. SICA è stata in prima linea nel processo di riforma e apertura verso l’esterno della Cina. 上海市对外文化交流协会成立于1986年，是本市开展民间国际文化交流的市级人民团体。其宗旨是：通过民间的国际文化交流，加强本市与世界各国、各地区人民的相互了解和友好合作，为上海经济发展、科学进步、文化繁荣服务。上海市对外文化交流协会设有由近百名海内外各界知名人士组成的理事会。协会内设主管各领域交流的业务部门和综合管理部门。上海市对外文化交流协会交流领域宽泛，涉及文化艺术、人文社科、经济金融、科技教育等。内容丰富，形式多样，如举办各类文化艺术展演，召开国际会议和学术研讨，组织出国（境）开展文化交流等。协会已与美国、加拿大、日本、澳大利亚、法国、德国、西班牙、俄罗斯、奥地利、香港、澳门等几十个国家和地区的组织和个人建立了交流与合作关系，为本市颇具影响的对外文化交流机构。上海市对外文化交流协会借改革开放前沿之优势，承对外文化交流之传统，集中华文化及海派文化之精华，在开明睿智纳百川、大气谦和求卓越的上海精神引领下，进一步拓展上海与世界各国、各地区文化交流的广度和深度，为上海的国际文化大都市建设作出应有贡献。

SHANGHAI INTERNATIONAL CULTURE ASSOCIATION – SICA Shanghai International Culture Association (SICA) was founded in 1986 as a municipal-level people’s organization that conducts non-governmental international cultural exchanges. Its function is to strengthen mutual understanding and friendly cooperation between Shanghai and the rest of the world. It serves to enhance Shanghai’s economic growth, scientific progress, and cultural output through people to people engagement in international cultural exchange. SICA has a council composed of nearly a hundred local and international public figures. It also has operating departments in charge of exchanges in various fields and an integrated management unit. SICA features a wide range of cultural exchange and communications in multifarious fields including culture and arts, the humanities, social sciences, economics, finance, science and education. It organizes a variety of substantial events, such as art exhibitions, cultural performances, international conferences, academic seminars, and cultural exchanges abroad. Having set up exchanges and cooperation with organizations and individuals in dozens of countries and regions, including the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia, France, Germany, Spain, Russia, Austria, and Chinese Special Administrative Regions of Hong Kong and Macau, SICA is an influential international cultural exchange organization in Shanghai. SICA has been at the forefront of China’s reform and opening-up. Continuing the tradition of international cultural exchange, it combines Chinese and Shanghainese culture. Embodying the spirit of Shanghai, pooling wisdom and excellence with liberality and generosity, it further expands the breadth and depth of the cultural exchange between Shanghai and the rest of the world. SICA thereby has greatly contributed to making Shanghai a truly international metropolis.
