THE ALUMINUM POLES ARE MANIPULATED STRIPPER POLES THAT MIMIC THE CURVES OF A WOMAN. THESE SCULPTURAL POLES SATISFY THE NEED FOR SUBTLE SEXINESS AND SCULPTURAL ART.
INTERACTIVE
THE BAR TABLE’S ALTERATION OF HEIGHTS CREATES A PLAYFUL RHYTHM OF MIXED FUNCTIONS FOR A MIXED USE SPACE. IT CAN FUNCTION AS A COUNTER OR SEATING FOR PATRONS TO ENJOY. THE POLES ARE SUGGESTIVE OF THE SENSUAL CURVES OF THE FEMALE BODY, ACTING AS BOTH SUPPORT AND INTERACTIVE ART.
THE MIRRORED WALL SERVES A DUAL PURPOSE OF PROVIDING AN ILLUSIONARY SENSE OF A BIGGER SPACE AND SELF AMUSEMENT FOR THE PATRONS.
THE SEATING ARRANGEMENTS HINT AT THE FEMALE BODY BEHIND THEIR WOODEN PLANKS. THE DIFFERENT HEIGHTS OF THE SEATS ALSO EMPHASIZES THE MIXED FUNCTION OF THE SPACE. THIS AREA COULD BE USE AS SEATING AREA OR COUNTER.

The Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy is studying the feasibility of partnening with the, Brooklyn Historical Society and the Brooklyn Center for the Urban Environment, to develop a MUSIUM OF THE BROOKLYN WATERFRONT on the west side of Furman St. The purpose of the Museum is to document, preserve and interpret the rich and varied history of the Brooklyn Waterfront. My design was develop from the Gowanus Canal in Brooklyn and wood fibers. It is an interpretation of how much wood fiver is created and then deposited in the canal , which contaminates the environment. Based on these research I created a design based on the pattern of the canal and wood fibers. This project was done in New York City College of Technology on Spring 2009 for the class of Design IV
