GREAT OFF-SEASON CONDITIONS NOT AN ACCIDENT

In preparation for the fall and winter months, Golf Burnaby goes through an extensive maintenance program with the aim of keeping all their golf courses among the driest in the Lower Mainland.

With golfers in mind, Golf Burnaby’s putting green maintenance program occurs in early October to ensure the best playing conditions through all of the great weather during September. Something similar can be said about the fairways. Because of the extensive fairway drainage their facilities enjoy, their Golf Maintenance Department is also able to delay fairway sanding and aeration until the end of October to ensure optimal golfing conditions during that month as well. And players are noticing.

Said one regular, "I play rain or shine three times a week…It’s an easy walk and the conditions have really improved. The greens are great and the drainage is even better. My feet are dry after every round."
