GROUP PROJECT

INTENTION: the intention of our group Tiny House project was to design an efficient, elegant, modern yet environmentally friendly house STRENGTHS: working in coordination as a group was one of our bigger strengths, dividing the work equally and organizing our time was crucial WEAKNESs: one of our weakness was schedule and coordination, since most of the group members have a full time job out of school.

FAVORITE BUILDING The building i chose is located in the heart of the Bernal High Park, this is a modern, elegant, simple, efficient, fun house. It has big windows that permits the light go through the interior of the house, saving energy and making it environmentally friendly. However, Its simplicity is one of the the things that grabbed my attention the most, as well as its modern style.

TINY HOUSE NARRATIVE THE INTENTION OF MY TINY HOUSE DESIGN IS TO CREATE A LIVING SPACE THAT BE EFFICIENT AND ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY. YET GIVING THE COMFORT AND THE PRIVACY TO ITS OCCUPANTS.

THE HOUSE IS COMPOSED OF TWO UNITES AND AND A BASEMENT. IT ALSO HAS AN ELEVATOR THAT CONNECTS THE SECOND, AND THE FIRST FLOOR, AND GOES ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE BASEMENT. IN THE FIRST FLOOR YOU WILL FIND A SMALL LIVING ROOM, AND KITCHEN.. IN THE SECOND FLOOR YOU WILL FIND A COUNTROUBLE MASTER ROOM WITH A SMALL BATHROOM. IN BASEMENT YOU COULD FIND PRIVACY AND QUIETNESS.

Tiny house section:

the intention behind showing sections is to give a sense of how people accommodate to live in a relatively small living space. I personally find fascinating to see how people manage to live countrouble in a small house. However, most people have the idea that a big house is what they need, but in reality people don't need so much to be happy. Sometimes all you need is to be organize and use just the necessary.

IMPROVE TOOL

BATCHER: BOTTLE HOLDER For this project we have to choose a tool and improve it: HOwever, I decided to create my own tool. This tool it's designed for fast paced Bars and Restaurants to help them reduce the labor cost, investing less time in preparation. By using the bottle holder labor can be reduced to half; which translate to more profit for the business.

FARNSWORTH HOUSE

The Farnsworth House, built between 1945 and 1951 for Dr. Edith Farnsworth as a weekend retreat, is a platonic perfection of order gently placed in spontaneous nature in Plano, Illinois. Just right outside of Chicago in a 10-acre secluded wooded site with the Fox River to the south, the glass pavilion takes full advantage of relating to its natural surroundings, achieving Mies' concept of a strong relationship between the house and nature.

Farnsworth house is a beautiful design. However, it has two major problems: The house got flooded in 2008 for its low elevation, And It lack of privacy because of its transparent glass.

To prevent a future flooding I decided to lift the house 4 feets off the ground.

IMPROVED

2- We

also have the opportunity to place a pool if its desired, since we have a beautiful view and now that we have lifted the house we have acquired more room underneath the house.

By lifting the house off the ground we prevent a future flooding and also we get room underneath the house to place a garage. 1-
