Reopening Keynsham Safely
As more shops and businesses re-open following the Government’s easing of some Covid-19 restrictions and traffic levels increase, our priority is to give people confidence in using our high streets whilst protecting public health.
To enable social distancing, the Council will be temporarily closing the one-way section of the High Street to motor vehicles to create a pedestrian and cyclist zone. This will provide increased space for people to move around, observe social distancing rules and queue for access to shops.
Road Closure
A temporary closure of the High Street from Monday 13th July will operate between its Between 9am and 5pm, a tradesperson will not A large loading bay is located in front of

The road will be closed by barriers. Access will only be granted to vehicles specified in the temporary Traffic Regulation Order, as listed below.

Between 5pm and 9am the road will be open as normal.
Bus Stop
The bus stop is being temporarily relocated to Ashton Way near the back of Poundland, as shown on the map on the reverse of this leaflet. The Dial a Ride bus will be allowed through the road closure and will pick up/drop off at its usual location.
Am I eligible for Access?
In addition to emergencies and cash collection operations, access to the High Street may be required for certain activities such as major building construction or a residential flat move. Access will need to be arranged using the permit online form by visiting www.bathnes.gov.uk/

How will a tradesperson gain access to my premises during 9am to 5pm?

What about online deliveries?
Delivery drivers will not be able to gain access between 9am and 5pm. Alternate options may exist with your provider, including in-store collection, pick-up points or out-of-hours delivery.
