Latest news from Trinity Methodist Church

At the meeting of the Full Council, held on Monday 3rd October, Radstock Town Council unanimously agreed to the purchase of Trinity Methodist Church.

Trinity Methodist Church, Radstock, closed as a place of worship at the beginning of the year. Since then, Radstock Town Council has been working with church trustees, Bath & North East Somerset Council and many other interested residents, groups and charities to explore potential use and future of the building.

Subject to Contract, a bid for the purchase has been successful and next steps will involve completion of the purchase.

The Town Council continue to work closely with Bath & North East Somerset Council to investigate funding opportunities alongside other potential funding streams. The Town Council has undertaken a thorough review of the financial implications and has confirmed a Public Works Loan to support the purchase will not require additional funding from residents.

Radstock Town Council would like to thank all those who have supported and expressed their interest in the preservation and future of Trinity Methodist Church as a community space in the heart of the town and look forward to welcoming existing users and new users in the future.
