Two new defibrillators

Thanks to fundraising by Waterside Carnival Club, we are delighted to say that Westfield has two new defibrillators, bringing the total in Westfield up to six.

The new units are located outside Whitstones' Fish and Chips on Fosse Way South and outside the Pavilion at Norton Hill Recreation Ground.

By ringing 999 the emergency services will ensure people have the access code in the event of an emergency. Chair of the Parish Council, Geoff Fuller, said: “Defibrillators are now live 24/7 at Elm Tree Avenue, Mardons Club, the Fire Station and the Westfield Doctor's Surgery on Waterford Park and have already been put to good use.

"We know just how valuable this equipment is in saving lives. Thank you to Waterside Carnival Club for funding these two new defibrillators and to AF Denning for installing them at no cost to the public."
