Volunteers welcome at the Station
The Gardens team are smartening up compost facilities at the station with these boxes made on site which have been placed strategically around to make it easier for weeding. Gardeners have had some very hard work clearing after lockdown but the summer flowering has been magnificent this year. Work continues on clearing the borders in preparation for next year whilst other volunteers have been doing some major stock moving and renovations to new acquisitions like the BR mini buffet coach and wagons for the proposed goods train.
We would welcome more volunteers especially in the gardens to help keep them award winning. Contact us on the website to volunteer. The next events are a Gala at the end of October and Santa Specials in December, which will be happening but in a protected environment.
