Partnerships with Restaurant and Hospitality Skillnet

Throughout 2021, we continued to build on our collaboration with the Hospitality & Restaurant Skillnet (IHI Parton Restaurants Association of Ireland) to deliver much-needed training to support the industry, With the exception of First Aid for Mental Health, all programs were delivered by an industry specialist trainer/ IHI Members. ·Executive Leadership ·Executive Team Builds ·Supervisory Management Skills ·Customer Care ·First aid for Mental Health Due to the success of the programmes, we will continue to expand the offering based on industryspecific needs.

Tourism & Hospitality Careers Oversight Group (COG)

IHI are proud to be a member of the Tourism & Hospitality Oversight Group. The group was established to support sustainable employment in the Irish Tourism & Hospitality Sector and was formed in March 2016 following a recommendation from the 2015 Expert Group on Future Skills Needs Report.

COG works on a collaborative basis and includes industry representative bodies, education and training providers, state agencies, and government departments. It provides a forum for practical action and collaboration to address the skills needs of the Tourism & Hospitality sector in Ireland.

COG coordinates the relevant bodies to agree on and implement a work programme to address current and future labour supply and skills in the tourism and hospitality sector. Throughout 2021 the group’s focus was to support recruitment and retention within the sector.

Industry Representation

The Board, Executive and Members continue to work closely with various industry groups and organisations on behalf of hospitality professionals. Over the past 12 months we have been and continue to work with:
