Technology has such power in our lives. The way we live, went through a profound change these years. To be constantly connected and have access to the world at a finger tips in our pocket is remarquable. And yet there needs to be clothes where fashion meets technology, clothes that accommodate every geeky person with a sense of fashion, not just millennials but older generations too, provided them all with smart clothes. And that’s what I wanted to do with my collection. With Poke-D Generation, access to technology has never been easier. I imagined every garments to be simple and fonctional as it’s full of pockets for the iEveything every connected women needs to go through her day in a cold winter.

Generation

Generation C - the “C” stands for connect, communicate, change.

Millennials

spend 14.5 hours each week texting, talking and accessing social media on their smartphone, more than any other generation. They’ve grown up under the influence of iEverything - iPods, iTunes, iPhones. They live “online” most of their waking hours, comfortably participate in social networks with several hundred or more contacts. Technology is intimately woven into their lives. That‘s why pockets come in ; for all that technology, pockets for iEverything they need to stay connected.

I chose Apple when I could have chosen Samsung or anything else. But I chose Apple because I think it is the starting point of the globalization. The revolution started here.


It looks like an apple advertisement. It is not obviously. It is the source of inspiration. The main source. The scratch point.

Every detail counts.

THE CHARACTER

She is powerful. She is active. She is revolutionary. She is a blogger. She is a journalist. She is a politician. She is more than great. She plays a big role. Her phone matters because it gets her to stay connected to her people, to what›s happening all over the world, to all the information she needs. Her phone is what gets her to be the greatest. It›s about perspective. It›s more than a phone. It›s more than an object or a thing. It›s real. It›s a relationship and a serious one. It›s all about connection. She is manly, but in the way she is, she is absolutely not a man. She is a manly sexy powerful feminine woman. She is the woman. She is a woman most likely to do anything.

THE CONCEPT

The first thing Steve Jobs created after the Macintosh that really revolutinized the world was the iPod. What did he say about the iPod? The coolest thing about iPod is that your whole music library fits in your pocket. You can take your whole music with you right in your POCKET. Now, you can write an idea, then film that idea and distribute it to the world on a device that you can put in your pocket. A device, where in addition to thousands of songs, you find a map and a compass. Years ago, you needed a backpack to carry all those things. I based all my collection on pockets because for me it represents the meeting point between fashion and technology.

THE COLLECTION

For Fall/Winter 2015-2016, I imagined a sporty chic collection. My girl should go to work on a skateboard, back pack on the back, slicing the road. She is a working girl on the go constantly connected. She needs simple fonctional clothes and a lot of pockets. After studynig people in the subway, walking in the streets, millennials with their iEverything, I started looking through workwear clothes. And that’s how my collection was born. I managed to recreate overalls and jumpsuits and play with the pockets in every item. I used diffrent shades of grey as it reprents the technology. Red is for the punch, and represents for me the mondialisation. Blue goes for the jean as it was the main fabric for workwear clothes. Finaly beige nude goes to follow the trend.

An apron as a dress tied in the side. Two pockets large enough for the iEverything. A jersey top with its pant cosy and perfect for the winter.

A blended jersey wool crop top. An overall with four pockets inspired by the original workwear jeans.

A crop top knitted. A symetrical dress open on both sides, easy to wear. For this dress, I got inpired by aprons. To make it fonctional, I put five pockets. The fabric used is flannelle. Perfect for sweet cosy winter.

KEY LOOK

A silk dress . Coquelicot red. Gives you the punch you need to go through long tiring work day. For this dress, I wanted to give a 3 dimentional effect. I can imagine a girl skateboarding wearing this dress. There is all the pockets a millennial needs for her iEverything. Perfect !

A cosy pullover knitted and provided with a pocket in each sleece and a large pockďż˝ et in the front. A symetrical pant made with silk and wool, provided with two pockets on front and back.
