On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy, the Georgetown University Italian Department and the Embassy of Italy/Italian Cultural Institute in Washington, D.C. propose a day of conversations on themes that have proven of crucial importance throughout the history of the nation. World-renowned scholars will offer their perspectives on a variety of cultural, historical, and political issues, highlighting different threads in the rich tapestry of Italian identity.
