IIDA TXOK DALLAS CITY CENTER FEBRUARY 2019
Q: What about this industry made you pursue a career in it? A: I loved the thought of meshing art and science. I wanted to be able to use both my creative skills and technical skills to create spaces that people would use and enjoy in the future. Q: What is your favorite part about your job? A: Seeing clients have that lightbulb moment of when they really understand the design intent and get excited about how the project and their space is coming together.
Q: Where are you from? A: Corsicana, TX
Q: What is your favorite IIDA event and why? A: SHIFT Student Conference! I was a Student Liaison for 2 years on the Dallas City Center Council and the Chair for SHIFT the past 2 years. I really enjoy working with students and seeing their growth to colleagues in the industry. I want them to feel empowered and prepared as they take the next step into the real world because I know exactly how that feels. It can be intimidating!
Q: How many years have you been working in the industry? A: 6 years
Q: What TV show did you last binge watch? A: I’ve been watching a lot of Frasier even though I’m about 20 years late on that trend.
