Start screen A key factor in the success of Instore Kids Corner is our commitment to the continual development and improvement of our products In 2012 we introduced new All-In-One PlayTouch computer ensuring our hardware takes full advantages of recent improvements in technology. IKC is now pleased to announce a full upgrade to our Play Touch software to also ensure this maximises the potential of our new platform. The updated software not brings a vibrant new visual style to the software, but also features increased user interaction and two totally new games (construction and Tangram). Research shows that puzzle solving is a proven way of improving spatial aptitude in children, so our PlayTouch software now has several puzzle games to challenge and entertain. We hope you will agree the improvements are a huge leap forward.

Counting game Learning new skills takes a lot of practice and this game gives children a fun and enjoyable way to practice their counting skills. As colourful graphics appear on screen, quickly count the items then click on what you think is the total number from the options displayed. Age options at the start of the game determine the difficulty.

Software description Car Construction
Construction game This great new game exercises the childs problem solving abilities and encourages learning through trial and error. The goal is to assemble each of the 4 objects by placing the components in the correct location and in the correct order. Age options at the start of the game determine the difficulty, with the youngest players able to follow an onscreen visual clue to derive the solution. As the difficulty increases, the visual clues remain on screen for shorter periods with no visual clue provided for the most advanced level. A fun test of logical reasoning.

Bubble game The undersea creatures simply have to reach the other side of the screen but there are pesky bubbles in their way! Help them reach their goal by popping all the bubbles as fast as possible. The Bubble Game is a great way to stimulate hand/eye co-ordination and test reaction times. Age options at the start of the game determine the difficulty, with bubbles moving slower when the youngest age option is selected.

Line Game As we all know, a child’s ability to create is almost limitless and it’s often the simplest things which spark their imagination. Line game encourages imagination and creativity using simple lines. Touch a line on screen and it becomes moveable. Using simple interactions, whole drawings can be created and if the colour of the line doesn’t match your idea, simply click one of the three colour buttons to change it.

Shuffle puzzle The tiles of the puzzle are all mixed up. Using the one free space, the puzzle can be solved by sliding the various pieces around, but only if the child thinks multiple steps ahead and has the ability to plan and recognise images. With 6 different puzzles to choose from, it’s hard to work out your favourite!

Software description Tangram
Tangram Tangram is influenced by an ancient Chinese game. There are 7 geometric pieces which must be arranged to make the final image. Recognition and analysing of shapes play a large part in solving each of the six puzzles. Age options at the start of the game determine the difficulty; with younger children only needing to put the pieces in place. At intermediate level the parts may also need rotating and in the highest level, no clues are given ensuring a challenging game.

Jigsaw Our interactive jigsaw features 6 colourful scenes. All the pieces of the jigsaw have been muddled up and must be moved, rotated, then positioned in the right place to solve the puzzle. Age options at the start of the game determine the difficulty; with more pieces per puzzle as the difficulty increases.
