hrowaway plastic take a lot of space and biodegrade. Even though people always try to collect the trash on the beach, there are still
large amount of bottle caps and small plastics on the beach. Because of too small to pick up, the plastic caps become one of the mean trashes in the beach pollution. Many sea birds and fish have a hard time distinguishing plastic from food. They cannot digest it, and eventually die.

Connection Cap use screw-shape to make the dotted line on the bottle caps. It can keep the caps link with the bottles, let user drink the bottle by one hand, and help people recycle the bottle cap together.

Although this is a simple design concept, the meaning is farreaching. We hope this can awake more people to aware the marine pollution issues via this IF design awards.

fter one day work and come back home, parents always want to spend time with their children but feel really tired. Among these,
Punch Punch can help the parents relax and get together with their children at the same time. The children can play hamster on the Punch Punch with massage function on parents’ back. This design can not only let children learn from the hamster game and help parents relax, but also can increase the connection between the family.

Operational processes
After parents come home with tired body, the children can put Punch Punch on their back.
The children turn on the power on the feet of Punch Punch, the music will start and the screen in the shape of OK stretched will show the started score.
The children can hold the hammer tail and beat the bright button on the Punch Punch. If they hit the bright spot at the right timing, they can get more scores during the game.
The massage balls will press on acupuncture points of the parents due to the beating of their children.

To make the working model of this creation, I had got more familiar with the knowledge of electronic product design and understood more principles of doll design. For the electronic structure and the sewing techniques, we appreciated the supports of the friend in department of electronics (NTUST) and master in the Yongle Market (Taipei).

issection is a changeable innovative concept furniture. It simulates the action of opening a box, reinterprets the chair’s
exterior shape and function changes. Under the closed situation, the product’s usege and interior is hidden like a secret, and appears just as a decoration. But once the user opens Dissection, the nature of it is revealed, giving the user an awed sensory experience.

For the closing shape, Dissection can decorate the environment via its elegant figures. The slightly-opened gap exudes a mysterious atmosphere, it can attract users to take a closer look. In addition, there are four wheels under the bottom help users move the chair to wherever they want.
During the opening process, the split-second transformation creates an amazing experience. There are two bookshelves in the chair. It can make an independent and secret space for users.

Structure Development To design a safety, comfortable and flexible structure, we tried dozens of models and several real size models. At the beginning, we had tried metal gadgets to design the transform structure. However, the mechanical noise would come out when the chair transforming, and let user fell dangerous. Thus, finally, we had tried the structure of friction with a hydraulic mechanism to make the transform process fluently and safety.

Dissection 剖
The final production of Dissection had cooperated with a furniture factory. To better communicate with the master, we had built the real size working model. There were many challenges within the process, and we also learned a lot from it. Thanks for this valuable experience.

ity public transportation should play an important role in carbon reduction. The aims of this design are to provide a
unique train-taking experience and to save the energy. Therefore, how to provide motivating ways and tools is crucial for the city people to positively respond the environmental protection. By taking advantages of fun and little feedback to fulfill people's needs, this design work allows urban residents to really concern about the environmental issues by their hands.

Through the combination of MRT handles with the hand-pressure power generation technology, this design work allows the passenger to create the electric energy which can support the train lighting and door-open system. Eco-Grip can turn the individual power generation capacity to the actual amount with paying back to the user through the electronic wallet, and also create the pleasurable experience to participate in the environmental protection.

aking Mass Rapid Transit and carrying heavy stuffs is really tired for people who standing for a long time. We find many people will hang their bag on their wrist or their arm, and gripping
the railing. It’ll become very uncomfortable and make your wrist painful. Using stable hook to help passengers dealing with their stuff is one of the most common solutions, but it's not safe enough because the stable hooks in the moving car may hurt someone in accidently.

Hiding Hook just like a budding flowers. Without needs to use, the closing petals won’t interfere with passengers. And if you need to reduce some weight from your shoulder, you can push the petal, and hang your bag on it. After you leaving, the clamp structure will help you close the flower again. Therefore, the flower hook can provide you a relaxed and safety travel experience.

n rainy day, it’s not very comfortable to take the bus due to the rain wetting your body when you closing the umbrella
and get on the bus, and vice versa. To provide a comfortable and safety experience of bus tour with the theme of the 2009 Taipei Industrial Design Award "bloom", this concept combined the roof structure and flower image on the bus.

Unliked traditional fish tanks on the desk, this design employed the Chinese screen art on the office toy design with Chinese ink painting style interface. It’s not only an entertainment toy but an elegant decoration on the desk. User can use the little remote control on the pen to interact with the fishes on the screen, and it also can connect with others Screen Play to increase interpersonal communication. Among these, the office life will become more interesting and colorful.

eople always like to read on their bed. To avoid lacking enough light, choosing a nice
bedside lamp will be the key. The motivation of this design was the concept of a lamp with sleeping mode and reading mode, in order to create a flexible function lamp in the bedroom.

Leaf Lamp is a wall-mounted bedside lamp combined with the soft night light and reading lighting. The image is transformed by the grass in the pot, and the grass-like branches can be adjusted with different degree and number.

User can adjust the lighting direction via the last branches of each leaf. Facing up is a soft and indirect lighting; facing down is a reading lighting.

his creation is one of the outcomes during the internship in the
Industrial Design Department of Foxlink Inc. With the development of wireless transmission technology and paper speaker, the shape of the speakers became variable. To make good use of the feature of paper speaker and create special user experience was the design motivation.

During the discussion with the RD group of speaker, I’d better understand the characteristics of paper speaker. For instance, I realized the relationship between the area and volume and the weakness of bass. Among these, Wave Speaker applied the bass speaker under itself and elegant surfaces to decorate the space.

eing inspired by the image and meaning of Chinese “Taiji”
and “Ruyi,” this module light can transform into many different shapes and colors. The black and white unites can follow users’ minds, to create your own unique light.

This light combines unlimited creativity, Chinese style and interesting DIY experience for user. The shape is as beautiful as the fractal art, in addition, the transformation between being turned on and off is amazing.

n many Asia families, every family member would share one large size
of toothpaste to save the space and money. However, it’s unhealthy to touch the same opening of the toothpaste via many different tooth brushes. Even though we can use many small toothpastes for each member to keep it fresh and healthy, it’s not eco-friendly to use so many bottles.

Clean Brush could provide the family a convenient way to share one toothpaste and avoid mixable touching by every tooth brushes. Everyone can have their own opening on the Clean Brush, which being connected with the toothpaste. In addition, the toothpaste could stand up via the structure of Clean Brush to save more space.

NTUST after a series of environment analysis. We focused on the inconvenient factors of the original benches and tried to develop new solutions.

his was the first 3D design works in basic design course. The request of this
work was design an animal via a cubic, and it could be transformed between two modes easily. It was really exciting game to play with this 3D design work.
During the design process, I’d tried to use PU to cut the shape and rebuild it by paper card. Finally, the “Little Fox on the Grassland” had been made by the printer with magnets inside its body, in order to draw detail texture on the surface and make it beautiful.
Material & Costs 1. Double-sided and thick cards *3, total 12 NTD 2. Powerful magnets *12, total 50 NTD 3. Uses inks of printer, around 30 NTD

The most challenging parts of this design were the paper cards drawing and the magnets setting. I needed to consider the 3D situation and the magnetic pole interference. It really was an interesting and memorable experience of design for me.
