Located in Trastevere, one of the most historical n P E Oeighb P L Eorhoods in Rome, Townhouse in Rome is placed in the middle of history in a building dating back to 1800. The design approach was to create an "urban loft” that retains the unedited landscape of rebuilding, yet is complete and comfortable.
The sleek concrete walls span from the ground to the third floor.
They stand as sharp dividers that force functionality and inspire
creativity while withstanding the test of time, necessary for modern
living. From floor to ceiling the space is coated in a uniform matte
finish, rigorously standardized for a sobering appearance, a perfect
stage for the owners’ collection of art and photography.

The double height of the space is separated only by a central
monolithic wall for the staircase, leaving an open view of the living
space from the master bedroom into the quiet solace of the courtyard
and terrace. 3
Throughout the space large windows give the space a 360 degree viewP E O P L E of ancient Rome, while the grey, raw oak flooring evokes the freshness
of modern life.
Custom furniture was designed and strategically placed to further the
concept, with particular attention to materials.

The concrete flooring, offset by various finishes of brass, raw steel, leather and wood creates a bold yet elegant effect. Finally, the treated brass countertop in the open kitchen is the fitting backdrop for Gino’s sophisticated food. Set in this beautiful ambient, Alessandro Pasquale’s custom designed furnishings recall the Italian propensity for fine craftsmanship. There is a vitality and a welcoming energy in the design that further expresses the service and the impeccable presentation of the food at Gino's.
