LEADERSHIP GIFT
Ron Greene has a special connection to his community. He grew up on a rural farm in eastern McLean County. He sought his education locally. He started a family here. Greene knows the importance of being a leader in his community as president and CEO of Afni, Inc., one of the area’s leading employers. It’s why he’s been a long-standing member of a number of community-centered organizations, including the Illinois Wesleyan University Associates.
“Illinois Wesleyan is an outstanding institution with strong leadership, and we’re proud to help deserving students from McLean County receive an exceptional education right here in Bloomington,” Greene said. “This is an excellent place to raise a family and build a career, and we hope our support of this scholarship program helps
those talented students remain in our community.” Ron Greene President and CEO of Afni, Inc.
Dear Friends,
MESSAGE FROM ASSOCIATES PRESIDENT
Thank you for helping area high school students attend college locally. Because of your support, Illinois Wesleyan has seen an increase of 56% in McLean County student enrollment since the launch of the McLean County Scholarship and the number of applications continues to increase. Additionally, I am excited to share that the McLean County
Scholarship now guarantees no less than $30,000 in scholarship support for local students (up from
$27,000 in 2018). This is a direct testament to the generosity of our supporters. We value local students, and their futures, by making this initiative a priority. Be sure to save the date for the Illinois Wesleyan Associates Annual Breakfast on Tuesday, April 7, at Hansen Student Center. Special guests Marc Talluto ’94 and Debo Olaosebikan ’06 will discuss innovation, entrepreneurship, and artificial intelligence. I hope to see you there. All the best,
Willie Brown President, Illinois Wesleyan Associates

“This scholarship has provided many McLean County students with the opportunity to attend Illinois Wesleyan who may not have considered IWU as an option otherwise. We have so much pride in helping local students stay local for college. This scholarship has proven to be a ‘win’ for both the McLean County students and IWU.”
