(*) Adjacent Double Crochet (Adc) is a term used by Laura Lynn Hanks from thekidneybean.wordpress.com to refer to a double crochet that is place in the corner of a granny square so no holes in the granny. The only difference between a normal double crochet and an adjacent double crochet stitch (adc) is where the hook is placed.

For a step by step Adc stitch photo tutorial and instructions you can go to: http://thekidneybean.wordpress.com/tutorials/the-adjacent-stitch-round-one/

There are 26 sts in head (and 13 in each side of grannies squares) so you can match one stitch of each granny to one stitch of the head.

Make sure both grannies are in the wrong side when you attach them to the head, so the seam is in the wrong side.
