beginning with camellias and then the grand finale of azaleas. Adding to the horticultural excitement is a collection of blooming annuals, tea olive trees and a display of flowers that attract hummingbirds and butterflies throughout the Gardens.
During this annual rite of spring, visitors can observe more than 150 varieties of camellias and hundreds of azaleas in bloom. As the exact date range for peak bloom is hard to predict, guests are encouraged to return throughout the spring bloom season to experience Mother Nature’s ever-changing palette of colors.

Bok Tower Gardens rings in the spring blooming season with a cultural and horticultural festival dedicated to the most colorful time of the year. Spring Bloom celebrates the majesty of Mother Nature with a full calendar of events from February 1 through April 30.

Boggy Creek Airboat Adventures, a leading Central Florida nature-based attraction, has added a brand-new Butterfly Aviary Zone to its Real Natural Florida experiences.
Lily’s Butterfly Garden and Lorelei’s Critter Collection, a 20 x 60 foot specially designed aviary named after the owners’ granddaughters, features more than seven different species of butterflies that are native to Florida and the U.S. Guests can purchase nectar cups for $2 to feed the butterflies inside the aviary. The butterfly habitat contains an assortment of Florida native plants such as native milkweeds, buttonwood plant, fire bushes, swamp lily, mushy grass, prickly pear cactus and swamp bibiscus. The same habitat is also home to native Florida animals such as bobwhite quails, wood ducks and turtles. Landscaping of the park and butterfly area has been done through a partnership with the Florida Native Plant Society.
Spring is in full bloom at the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art in Winter Park. Globally renowned for housing the world’s most comprehensive collection of works by American artist and designer Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848–1933), galleries exhibit many kinds of art inspired by nature. Tiffany was particularly attracted to flora and fauna and used blooms such as wisteria, daffodil and iris to create spectacular effects. When one walks through the Morse Museum, it’s like walking through a garden.
