DR. REBECCA L. OXFORD
A Professor and Director of the Second Language Education Program at the University of Maryland, College Park. Previously she has led language programs at Teachers College, Columbia University; the University of Alabama; and the Pennsylvania State University. holds : - two degrees in Russian (Vanderbilt University and Yale University) - two degrees in educational psychology - a master`s master from Boston University - a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina.
She initiated and coco-edited the Tapestry Program, a series of ESL student textbooks. Dr. Oxford has written and edited many books on language learning strategies, motivation, cultural identity, and teaching methods. Several of her books are Language Learning Strategies: What Every Teacher Should Know, Language Learning Strategies: Conversation Skills Through Oral Histories, Language Learning Strategies Around the World: Cross-Cultural Perspectives and etc.
She is known for being a lively speaker who uses humor and new ideas to involve, challenge, and stimulate the audience.
Currently her main research interests are language learning styles and strategies and how these factors relate to language teaching methods in different cultures.
She has presented, often as a keynote speaker, at conferences in Argentina, Brazil, Egypt, England, France, Guatemala, Italy, Japan, Korea, and many other countries
ANDREW COHEN
Born in New York City on October 23, 1955 – age 57 in 2012 (raised in a secular Jewish family). Is an internationally respected spiritual teacher, cultural visionary, and founder of the global nonprofit Enlighten Next and its award-winning publication Enlighten Next magazine. His passion for spirit unexpectedly ignited at the age of sixteen, when a spontaneous revelation of “cosmic consciousness” opened his eyes to a new dimension of life. After several years of intensive spiritual pursuit in the United States, including the study of martial arts, Kriya Yoga, and Buddhist meditation, Cohen followed the footsteps of a generation of Western seekers to India.

Is the Academic President of Anaheim University based in Anaheim, California serving as a concurrent role as Dean of the Graduate School of Education and Professor of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). Nunan's academic and student textbooks are published by Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press, and the EFL publishing division of Cengage Learning.

Holds a Ph.D. in ESL and applied linguistics from the University of Texas at Austin. A Professor of Secondary Education (ESL and Foreign Language Education) in the Graduate School of Education and Human Development of the George Washington University. Directed a number of studies investigating the language development of second and foreign language learners and has authored books and articles on language learning strategies. Co-designed and has written extensively about the Cognitive Academic Language Learning Approach (CALLA) and spent seven years implementing the CALLA model in the Arlington Public Schools in Virginia.
