Wall Portraits - Descriptions and Info Gallery Portraits
All Gallery Portraits maintain the integrity of a photograph with basic retouching and artwork. They are hand-printed and dry-mounted on masonite which is a solid, non-pliable optimal base for framing (prevents warping, cracking, bending). The final custom-printed portrait is sprayed with a lacquer finish which serves as a protectant and enhancer. Additionally, the lustre lacquer spray allows the portrait to be displayed without the need of a glass overlay as it contains an UV inhibitor and serves as a protectant. (Lustre finish is similar to a “matte”, although it has a slight degree more sheen.)
Mini-Galleries
A collection of images – 3.5x5 to 11x14 – double matted, framed and ready to hang. Mini-Gallery frames and mats will be selected by the client to coordinate with their personal decorating schemes. The Mini-Gallery will be covered with a regular or non-glare glass overlay as decided by the client. Mini-Galleries containing prints smaller than 5x5s are $50 less than prices listed above and those containing prints larger than 10x10s are $50 more.
Canvas Portraits
Heirloom Canvas Wall Portraits are rich, elegant works of art. The portrait will be handprinted and hand-finished to the highest artistic standards. The color-balanced portrait will be hand-stripped and heat transferred to an artist’s canvas and secured to a stretcher frame or masonite. The canvas softens and brings to life the image as it elevates the photograph to a different artistic medium. The canvas also adds dimension and texture to the portrait image. The lacquer spray finishing options are the equivalent to those offered on the Gallery Portrait.
Canvas Portraits with Brushstrokes
The Heirloom Portrait with hand-applied brushstrokes confers an added element of depth and painterly design. The nearly-clear brushstrokes duplicate the texture of an original oil painting and elevate the photograph to a level of artistic excellence, while maintaining the essence of the original photographic image.
Print Wrap Portraits – Float, Gloss and Leather Wraps A contemporary way to display an image without the additional cost of framing.
StoryBoards
Only available on certain sizes. The image undergoes a lamination process which adheres it to the base. Wraps allow the print to be “wrapped” around the sides of the frame so there is a continuation of the image around the edge of the frame thus negating the need for a frame.
Are modern collections of images melded into one wall display. The Storyboards may be ordered in small Desk Portrait sizes or larger sizes suitable for wall decor. Each one—large or small—is a keepsake custom design.
