Open the photographs in the Adobe window document which you want to illustrate. Just by dragging it you will get the image in the Photoshop window. And then, create a duplicate layer in which you are going to work.
Desaturate a photo in photoshop On selecting the duplicate layer, click the Image on the menu bar. In that choose Adjustment and then make selecting the Desaturate option. This is what you have to do in this first step. Image -> Adjustments -> Desaturate
After desaturation, the image is turned into Black and White. If you want the color image, then skip out the first step and start up from this second step. Here you are going to detect the edges of the image and make it as fine. So for that, choose Filter option in the Menu bar and select the Stylize option in that choose the Find edges option. On clicking that the image is turned like line art image.
Edge Detection – Find Edges But it is not the end, there are some adjustments are here to make it on the image. In order to make the image more attractive and attentive some simple adjustments are needed, which is totally explained in the following steps. Filter -> Stylize -> Fine Edges
The first adjustment you have to make is the brightness and contrast level adjustment. For that, go with the Image Option and then select the Adjustment in it.

On clicking adjustment option you may visualize the Brightness and Contrast option. On selecting that, an adjustment dialog box is opened with adjustable sliders. Image -> Adjustments -> Brightness/Contrast
Adjust the Brightness and Contrast On moving the adjustment slider you may realize the difference and stop where you feel it is enough. If you want to get more artwork on the image, then reduce the level gradually.
Sharpen the Image
Yep, you reached the end. Finally, sharpen the image to pop more than before. For that, select Filter in that choose Sharpen and finally click Sharpen more.
