Imam Abufarah Imam & Executive Director, Amyl Council



Imam Abufarah is was born and raised in Saudi Arabia until he was 15.


When he was 15 he migrated to the USA with his family. Back in SaudiArabia, he learned about Islamic Studies, Quran, Islamic History and Fiqh. And in the USA he continued his studies with Islamic studies and had the honor of learning from great scholars like Dr. Shiekh Mohamad Nuh Alqudah, Sh. Zakaria Gasmallah and Sh. Ibrahim Madani.


Imam Abufarah got admission in college with major in business and minor in Political science. He continued his passion for gaining more knowledge and currently doing B.A in Islamic studies from Islamic Open University in California.


Imam Abufarah has worked as a clergy at many occasions and places. He volunteered himself at Florida Celebration Hospital, Orlando Regional Medical Center, and Florida Children s Hospital and provide services as a clergyman.


Imam is the co-founder of the American Muslim Leadership Council (AML COUNCIL) and Kissimmee Care Foundation (KCF).He also provided his services as an Imam to Kissimmee and Chicago.


In 2013, Helmi Abufarah El Agha founded the program Bridge the Gap where he gathered all the authoritative people from all fields to a roundtable to discuss the current events and American Muslim community in Florida. From 2013 to now, there have been many successful meetings took place already.


Imam started the courses Baby steps to introduce Islam. He also provided the services as a counselor. Helmi Abufarah El Agha also started the first community outreach program to discuss cultural sensitivity.
