Data Analytics In The Field Of Artificial Intelligence

The concept of data analytics has been on the radar for the past decade now, but it was only a few years ago, with the announcement that careers in this field are by far, the sexiest careers of the 21st Century, the field of Data Science reached a new pinnacle in its journey. With more and more data generated every day, companies have upped their demand for professionals who have the specific skill set of working in this sphere. Among the many accolades in the name of data analytics include, the various advanced marketing strategies, the new age social networking and social media channels, solely driven on virtual reality, augmented reality and face recognition technologies, predictive analysis and the profits that it has generated for the various e-commerce giants, the list just goes on. Another feather added to the proverbial cap of data analytics is this untapped sphere of Artificial Intelligence. It is basically the engineering and science of creating intelligent computer programs or machines and is commonly referred to as machine learning. Originally developed to enable computers to learn things, this technology today has progressed by leaps and bounds and is based on a number of advanced mathematical optimization methods, regression and classifications. The various fields where this technology is applied today are, gaming, speech recognition, computer vision, heuristic classification, medical diagnostics, credit card fraud, expert systems and so on. Recently there was this movie called “Her, which was basically based on how a person gets into a relationship with this artificial intelligence of his personal computer. As the world starts adjusting to this new form of technology, there are a lot of

interpretations both positive and negative regarding the same. Movies are some of the best mediums where the impending uncertainties and advantages of AI are thoroughly questioned. With new age shows like Westworld, Black Mirror and movies like IRobot and others, the film industry is trying to come to terms with the marvels, that this technology could produce. While artificial intelligence sometimes is meant as a synonym for machine learning, when it comes to data analytics, these two terms differ in technicality. While artificial learning deals extensively with logic, reasoning, graph traversing, mining etc, machine learning is more of a wider field here, which sometimes includes AI. Machine learning basically deals with only turning data in to information and taking decisions based on the same. While, Artificial Intelligence deals with automatic ways of reasoning and reaching a conclusion with the help of computers. There are many algorithms used in this domain, some of which include BFS, DFS. A*, Djikstra, Best First, Backtracking etc. Two of the biggest uses of Artificial Learning are search and optimization, for instance the concept of Google Maps where the user is shown the shortest route to reach their destination. The more advanced applications of this technology would be robot navigation, automatic clinical decision system etc. To study the core concepts of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning one needs to opt for a specialization course in data analytics. There are many institutes providing the same, for instance Imarticus Learning, which provides diploma courses in all the various data analytics tools like R Programming, SAS programming and others.
