Silo Application A cement silo is a structure for storing bulk materials. The tank is equipped with a material level system to show the position of the material. There are 3 silo applications in a cement manufacturing plant: 1. Raw Mill Feeding Silo 2. Raw Material Feeding Silo 3. Clinker Silo
Application: Transporting to storage silos
Activity: Discharge
In the process of transporting cement to storage silos, the operator must press the uninterrupted button of dust vibration motor, shake off the dust bag of cement to prevent blocked bags and ensure smooth supply of cement.
To discharge, the operator needs to activate discharge valve at the bottom of the cone for the opening and closing of flap. And deactivate when the cement delivery fails to prevent cement spills resulting in waste.

Rotary Kiln Application The kiln is a cylindrical vessel, inclined slightly to the horizontal, which is rotated slowly about its longitudinal axis. The process feedstock is fed into the upper end of the cylinder. As the kiln rotates, material gradually moves down toward the lower end, and may undergo a certain amount of stirring and mixing.

Raw/ Finished Material Handling The main material transporting system consists of belt conveyor, transporting raw material like lime stone, gypsum and sand are conveyed from the place they are naturally found to the main plant where their storage place is located.

From storage area to proportioning house from proportioning to raw mill. From clinker silo to cement mill. From packing to loading.
Solution: Pneumatic cylinder is used in positioning control of belt conveyor in rack and pinion mechanism.
Conveyors are commonly used to transport raw/ finished materials to the different units of the plant.
It is also used to operate belt conveyor and reduce the additional part required to control the motion of conveyor belt drive.
