The evening was an opportunity to celebrate our outstanding athletes, teams, and clubs and say farewell to what has been another memorable year. 12 BUCS MEDALS OVERALL 11 PERFORMANCE TEAMS

Rising Star

Sabrina Radzik-Rahman, Dodgeball

Sabrina has made a tremendous impact in her first year. Her talent and dedication to the sport are inspirational. She played a crucial part in the BUCS Finals Day, helping the team secure the gold, and has been elected as Women’s 1st Captain for next year, making her the youngest Women’s 1st Captain in the history of Imperial Dodgeball.

Coach of the Year

James Kong, IC Women’s Football

James has had a tremendous impact on the club, their passion and enthusiasm for the sport has created such a welcoming environment in the club. Their endless dedication on the sidelines, providing innovative tactics have been instrumental in propelling the team to the top of the league!

Participation Hero

Keion Ing, Futsal

Keion has tirelessly built the club from the ground up, developing weekly training for both competitive and recreational members and coaching most sessions. He collaborated with Women’s Football to make the club more inclusive. Always putting team members first, he ensures sessions are enjoyable, fostering a friendly and welcoming community.

Sports Club Member of the Year

Jey Tse Loh, Taekwondo

Jey’s inclusive leadership and consistent display of good sportsmanship have positioned her as a role model within the club. She has been pivotal in expanding the club’s reach and creating opportunities for members, such as spearheading the club’s involvement in Varsity. She has won 2 golds and 5 bronze medals at BUCS. Additionally, her top-three finish earned her a spot at the 2024 European Universities Games.

Sportswoman of the Year

Izzy Franco, Cross Country & Athletics

Izzy has made tremendous achievements in her sport this year, proving herself to be a high-performing competitor. Her dedication and commitment led to victories at the Eastbourne and Hampton Court Triathlons, and an 8th place finish in the BUCS Duathlon. With more exciting accomplishments on the horizon, she has qualified for the European Sprint Triathlon Championships in September!

Sportsman of the Year

Lachlan Jarvie, Fencing

Lachlan led the Men’s 1st team t0 a 2nd place finish in the premier division and a 3rd place finish in the National Championships. Individually, this athlete clinched gold in BUCS and proudly represented Scotland during the 5 Nations Championships. Furthermore, they have displayed tremendous resilience by overcoming injury this year.

Outstanding Contribution

Lizzie Williams, Cricket

Lizzie has been a member of their club for the last 3 years and has worked tirelessly to increase female participation. They have been integral in the club achieving significant milestones such as Women’s teams being entered into BUCS and clinching victory in the London University Indoor League. This remarkable progress is largely attributed to her unwavering dedication not only to cricket but Women’s Sport.

Team of the Year

IC Tennis Women’s 1s

This team had a truly inspiring season, and their results were a testament to each player’s dedication, commitment, and talent. They had a phenomenal season, culminating in the Women’s Premier League Playoff, where they defeated Durham 6-0 to secure their spot in the top BUCS National League for next season. This achievement has made them the first-ever London regional team to reach this level!

Student Club of the Year

Volleyball

This club has had an exceptional year of growth in competition performance, inclusivity, and community involvement. It is now one of Imperial’s largest clubs, a testament to their commitment to growing their sport. Plus, their Women’s team had an undefeated BUCS season, the Men’s team secured a historic win in the Student Cup, and the mixed team remained dominant in the London University League.
