The world is full of lots of different model railroad track plans, ranging from simple additions to a basic oval or circle to incredibly elaborate landscaped plans. Of course, if you're just getting into the world of model trains, you'll want to start small and keep things simple. Another great place to start looking for model railroad track plans is your local hobby store. Most stores feature a large assortment of books, accessories and track, and offer the convenience of buying all at once. They might even have some track layouts on display, so you can see what they look like in real life. Talk to the salespeople if you have any problems - you might be surprised by how knowledgeable they can be.
