BECH DAAL Enactus Somaiya Social Cell (Enactus SSC) has taken up the noble cause of promoting Warli art. On 1st November, they organized their biggest Socio-Marketing event – Bech Daal. More than 50 teams registered. They sold pen stands, paper weights and mobile holders embellished with Warli art, in public market places like Powai Plaza and Gateway of India. It was a brilliant display of sales acumen by our marketing students. A remarkable amount of 140130 INR was earned within a day. Enactus made use of this revenue to empower Warli artists and their art form.


ALUMNI HIGH TEA Alumni Committee invited alumni of MCA program for High Tea on 28 th November. The event began with a warm welcome address by Prof. Rekha Rao. Dr. Radha Iyer addressed the audience and emphasised on the importance of building lifelong relations between SIMSR and its alumni. The evening carried on with a networking game, musical performances and some friendly interaction

with faculty over tea. Our MCA alumni were glad to have quality time with their faculty and friends after a long time.

On the same evening, the Alumni Committee also hosted a High Tea for our alumni from MMM, MFM, MIM and MHRDM courses. The event saw an overwhelming turnout. Prof. C.P. Joshi delivered the welcome address. Ms. Vidhya Sharma gave a presentation on the Alumni Committee’s vision. The alumni were more than glad to learn about the developments in the college and poured in their valuable feedback. DR. Radha Iyer, Dr. Reena Mehta and Mr. Mani Shankar had a gala time talking to their former students and learning about their lives at present.

COCA COLA INDUSTRIAL VISIT FORSE, the Forum for Operations Research & Supply Chain Enthusiasts, of K J SIMSR organized an industrial visit to Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Wada Plant on 5th November. Mr. Rafiq, the event manager, left no stone unturned to ensure that the visit was enjoyable and full of learning. Mr. Suryakant Jagdale, the plant manager, gave a detailed picture of product offerings, quality standards followed and various ISO certifications acquired by the plant. He also demonstrated the bottling operations done for all types of beverages. The students enjoyed a cool Coke on their way back and gained a new perspective on the practical challenges faced in industrial

operations.
