SIMSR CXO Alumni Strategic Meet 2019 SIMSR CXO Alumni Strategic Meet was held on 25th May, 2019 It acts as a meeting point for the luminaries of corporate world across different fields This year the focus for the topic of discussion in the meet was mainly on Continued Professional Learning (CPL)
MOU with Instituto Italiano Design, Italy MOU has been signed between SIMSR and Instituto Italiano Design, Italy This agreement would help in opening up various opportunities and shall ensure that best practices from other parts of the world are inculcated in our own curriculum

Events for Alumni Nostalgia - Annual Homecoming
SIMSR City Meets
Nostalgia is the annual homecoming of SIMSR Alumni, which is Our alumni are spread across the globe and organized on 2nd Saturday of September every year to ensure they have a strong support system the Alumni committee organises city wise During Nostalgia, we felicitate batches that complete 30 years of meets for our Alumni graduation from SIMSR City Meets is held across the following SIMSR Superstars * The Alumni Awards is also hosted during Nostalgia Domestic cities: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai & Patna and the following International cities: Middle East (Dubai), Singapore, Thailand & USA
Milaap – Silver Jubilee, Vicennial, Quindecennial & Decade Batch Reunions
The Alumni Committee organises reunions for our Alumni batches that It acts as an informal platform to build complete 25, 20, 15 & 10 years of strong and everlasting bond with SIMSR relationships and network with fellow Alumni who live in the sane city Milaap is held on 2nd Saturday of December, every year

Alum Achievements Alum receives 8mn funding for his start up Rajiv Singh, Alum of 2006, Co-Founder CollegeDekho, has received $8 million funding by existing investors GirnarSoft, London based Man Capital, and others for his Gurugram-based education technology startup CollegeDekho The company plans to use the latest round for expansion, research, product development, and technology enhancement

Anuj Mishra, Alum of Batch 2017, HR, OYO, gave his insights on the challenges faced by the HR function in a fast-paced startup environment, evolution of HR as a company scales and the role of technology in facilitating the same
Ridhi Gupta, Alum of Batch 2016, Deputy Manager Cards Analytics, Axis Bank, delivered a TEDx Talk on ‘Emojis and Immortality’ The talk, was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format, was independently organized by a community

SIMSR featured in Hindustan Times SIMSR has been featured in an article by Hindustan Times for opening its campus to pets A group of 24 students who call themselves Animal Welfare Association of Somaiya (AWAS), take care of the dogs and ensure that they're not weak by giving them meals Having pets around has also helped the students stay calm while juggling between lectures, assignments, exams and internships or when feeling homesick

Team Alumni Relations
AlCheMy 2019 AlCheMy 2019 is a placement mentorship programme that facilitates one-on-one mentorship between the 2nd year students and Alumni The programme duration is of 3 months from 18th May, 2019 to 15th August, 2019 It helps students prepare for their entry into the corporate world This year, 83 mentors from across the globe and 141 mentees have participated in the program
