Centre for Policy, Promotion & Prevention: A unique Initiative It was a sheer surprise to come across this organisation by chance. CPPP is the more popularly known identity of this NGO & think-tank. They are one of the leading social enterprises in the UK who are dedicated to address the issues of community integration and social cohesion. The importance of these factors is integral elements for cementing to achieve a multi cultural Britain.
The social group is constituted by a group of very dedicated professionals who have been in the community services for well over 3 decades. This non profit community interest company is funded mainly by its sponsors and recently they have been included as a member organisation of The Home Office’s Building Stronger Britain Together; A programme to tackle all types of extremism from the British society to build a stronger community. They protagonists of these organisation and its number of volunteers have been organising seminars, symposiums, classes and motivational speeches all around the country to create the awareness of the pitfalls of e x t re m i s m a n d c h a n g e t h e perceived views embedded amongst the many youths due
to the divisive rhetorics of segregation and margination to hinder a cohesive society.
This is by far one of the boldest and bravest at the same time an appropriate initiative to tackle this topic and insecurity the world is facing now.
Extremism is not always an act to p e r f o r m b u t i t ’s a h i d d e n embedded ideological mindset that needs to be eliminated by motivation, sense of dignity, social, community engagement and constant motivation with alternative narrative and communication assets.
Concepts such as CPPP are becoming ever so increasingly important in our day to day life specially in the western world. Now days Non Government social enterprise all around the world is doing phenomenal work in terms of creating awareness & increase the visibility of the pressing social, political, economic issues by means of working in the grassroots levels. CPPP is undoubtedly one such quintessence of an organisation.
It was fascinating to find that they are constantly and painstakingly
engaging in research on the matter related to the Bangladeshi diaspora’s lifestyle and other staple issues of their day to day life in the UK.
The benevolent work being undertaken by the CPPP is endless. We wish them all the success in their quest to achieve their role.
